T:Boys and girls.In your life,there must be someone who has helped you a lot or changed your life for better and some of you may have made a great change in others' life.Look at the picture.This is the boy Hao Tongxin.Today we'll go into his life and see who has made a difference in his life and what he wants to do in the future.
设计意图:通过教师的描述及图片的展示循序渐进地引入本课时的学习内容,为接下来的学习做好铺垫。
环节2 新课学习
1.教师让学生快速阅读课文,并邀请一名学生说出本课所谈论的主题。
2.教师让学生浏览活动1中的5个句子,理解其意思,然后让学生仔细听课文录音,完成练习。教师核对答案。
3.教师让学生再次阅读课文,同时标记出课文中的重难词汇和句型。
4.教师对学生标记出的重难知识点和其他重难点进行讲解(教师可邀请学生试着翻译一些句式较为复杂的句子),同时对Dig In的内容作简要讲解。
5.教师让学生先读一读活动2方框中的词汇,理解其意思,然后完成填空练习。教师邀请学生分享自己的答案,最后教师订正答案。
6.教师讲解频度副词never、always、usually、often、sometimes的用法,然后让学生独立完成活动3的练习,教师最后订正答案。
7.结对练习。教师让学生2人一组,根据活动4的示例,以问答的形式谈论他们所遇到的对他们有影响的人。期间教师可在教师里巡视,给学生提供帮助。最后教师让几组学生分享他们讨论的内容。

(1)频度副词
频度副词的含义
表示动作发生的频率的副词叫作频度副词。常用的表示频度的副词有:never(没有,从不)、seldom(很少,不常)、sometimes(有时)、often(经常)、usually(通常)、always(总是,一直)等。
频度副词在句中的位置
频度副词在句中通常位于系动词、助动词、情态动词之后,行为动词之前。
①在系动词之后。
如:She is sometimes very busy.她有时很忙。
②在助动词或情态动词之后。
如:I will never forget this lesson.我将永远忘不了这一课。
③在实义动词之前。
如:We often go there.我们常去那儿。
【注意】①sometimes可放在句首、句中或句末,often也可放在句末(一般不放在句首)。
如:Sometimes she writes to me.=She writes to me sometimes.她有时候给我写信。
②如果有两个助动词,频度副词通常放在第一个助动词后面。
如:We have never been invited to one of their parties.我们从未被邀请去参加他们的聚会。
She must sometimes have wanted to run away.她有时候一定想过要逃走。
(2)Last year,I wanted to give up my studies.
give up放弃,与stop同义。它既可以单独使用,也可接名词、代词或动名词作其宾语,代词作其宾语时要放在give与up之间。如:We will never give up our dreams.我们永远不会放弃梦想。
(3)With a good education,you can make a difference.
①education是名词,意为“教育”。其形容词为educational(有教育意义的,教育的),动词为educate(教育)。如:Our country's education is very good.我们国家的教育非常好。
②make a difference有所不同,有所作为,产生影响。difference作名词,意为“差异;不同点”。其形容词是different。

(1)She is teaching English in China.
teach是动词,意为“教,讲授”。其过去式和过去分词均为taught,其名词为teacher(老师)。常用短语:teach sb.sth.教授某人某事/物;teach oneself =learn...by oneself自学……;teach sb.a lesson给某人一个教训;teach sb.to do sth.教某人做某事。如:Mr Smith teaches us English.史密斯先生教我们英语。
(2)I was quite nervous then.
nervous是形容词,意为“紧张的,不安的”。常用短语:be/feel nervous about sth.对某事物感到不安。如:I am always nervous when I speak in public.我在公共场所发言时总是很紧张。
(3)Now I feel quite comfortable and relaxed.
①comfortable是形容词,意为“舒适的,舒服的”。它是由名词comfort加上形容词后缀 able构成的。其反义词为uncomfortable(不舒服的)。如:Today's weather is very comfortable.今天天气真舒服。
②【辨析】relaxed与relaxing
relaxed 形容词,意为“感到放松的”。常用来修饰人,表示人的感受,在句中常作表语。

①a little意为“一点”,常用于修饰形容词或副词,它也可修饰不可数名词。如:He feels a little thirsty.他感觉有点儿渴。

①【辨析】win与beat
二者都可用作及物动词,意为“赢;战胜”,但用法有区别。

do a great job意为“做得很好”,相当于well done,常用来表示表扬和鼓励。其中job是可数名词,意为“工作”。如:You did a great job in class.你在课堂上做得很好。
(2)I am really interested in this subject.
be interested in...对……感兴趣。in是介词,其后接名词、代词或动名词。其同义短语为:take/show/have an interest in。如:I was very interested in music.我对音乐很感兴趣。
(3)I have a small piece of old silk.
a piece of意为“一片/张/块……”。其结构为“a/some/many/基数词+piece(s)of”,通常接不可数名词,用来表示不可数名词的数量。piece是可数名词,所以其前如果是表示复数概念的词时,piece也要变为复数形式。当“a/some/many/基数词+piece(s)of+sth.”作主语时,谓语动词的数要与piece的数保持一致。如:Please give me a piece of paper.请给我一张纸。

kind作名词,意为“种类”。常用短语:kind of 有点;all kinds of 各种各样的;many kinds of 许多种类的。

1.教师让学生讨论教材第40页的图片,然后快速浏览课文,了解课文大意。教师邀请一名学生说出课文的主旨大意。
2.教师让学生浏览活动1中的问题,然后快速阅读课文,找出与问题相关的词句,完成练习,然后教师核对答案。
3.教师让学生再次阅读课文,深入理解其内容。学生标记出课文中的重要知识点及难点,教师进行讲解,然后老师对Dig In这一块作简要讲解。
4.教师让学生浏览活动2的左栏内容,然后抽几名学生快速说出其意思,最后全班一起完成活动2的配对练习。教师核对答案。

①【辨析】时间介词on、in与at
on 在星期几、具体某一天、具体某一天的上午/下午/晚上的前面使用。如:We will go hiking in the mountains on Saturday.我们周六要去山里徒步。
in 在泛指的上午/下午/晚上、季节、年份、世纪等前面使用。如:in the morning在早上;in summer在夏天;in the 21st century在二十一世纪。
at 在具体的某一时刻或者一些固定搭配中使用。如:at 7:25在七点二十五分;at noon在中午;at midnight在午夜。
②something terrible可怕的事情。当形容词用来修饰复合不定代词时要放在代词的后面。其中terrible是形容词,意为“可怕的,非常严重的”,其副词为terribly(极其,可怕地)。如:How terrible the storm is!这次风暴真是太可怕了!
(2)Jason,don't be afraid.
don't be afraid是一个否定祈使句。它是在以动词原形开头的肯定祈使句前面加上don't构成。有时为了表示礼貌,可以在句首或者句末加上please。如:Come in.进来。→Don't come in.别进来。
(3)So they came up with a plan.
come up with想出,提出,相当于think up。如:He came up with a new idea immediately.他立刻想出了一个新主意。

(1)Sometimes we make things with clay.
with是介词,意为“用……,以……”。通常用来表示使用某种材料或者身体的某一部位。如:We smell with our nose.我们用鼻子闻气味。
(2)And this week we will print our own T shirts.
print在句中为及物动词,意为“印刷,打印,印图案于”。其形容词形式为printed(印刷的),其名词有两种形式:printer(印刷工人,打印机)和printing(印刷)。如:Please print this document for me.请帮我打印这个文件。
(3)But sometimes we play on our own.
on one's own为固定搭配,意为“单独,独自”,相当于alone或by oneself。own在此短语中作名词,意为“自己的”。需要注意的是one's要跟随主语使用相应的形容词性物主代词。
