(1)Running helps us remember information.
①动名词running在这里作主语。英语中单个动名词或动名词短语在句子中作主语时,谓语动词要用第三人称单数形式。如:Doing more exercise makes them healthy.多做运动使他们健康。
②remember作及物动词,意为“记住,记得,记起”。如:I remember what you told me.我记得你对我说过的话。
【辨析】remember to do sth.与remember doing sth.
remember to do sth.意为“记得去做某事”,强调事情还未发生;remember doing sth.意为“记得做过某事”,强调事情已经完成。
③【辨析】information、message与news
information 意为“信息”,是不可数名词,指的是情报、资料等。如:You can call us for more information.你可以打电话向我们询问更多的信息。
message 意为“消息,信息”,是可数名词,指口信、贺词、贺电等。如:Can I take a message for you?我能为你捎个口信吗?

(2)Exercise can keep our brains young.
keep作动词,意为“保持”。其过去式和过去分词均为kept。常用结构:“ keep sb./sth.+形容词”意为“使某人/某物处于……状态”;“keep+形容词”意为“保持……”。如:You should keep warm in such a cold day.你应该在如此冷的天保持暖和。

step作可数名词,意为“步骤,脚步”。常用短语:step by step一步步地;take steps to do sth.采取措施做某事。如:We should deal with this problem step by step.我们应该一步一步地解决这个问题。

go fishing表示“去钓鱼”。英语中当go之后接表示“运动,娱乐”的动词时,一般用动词 ing形式,构成“go+动词 ing”,表示“去做……”。如:go swimming去游泳;go boating去划船;go skating去滑冰;go shopping去购物。

【辨析】spend、take、cost与pay
spend 主语必须是人,既可指“花钱”,也可指“花时间”。常用结构: spend time/money on sth.在某物上花费时间/金钱;spend time/money(in)doing sth.花费时间/金钱做某事。
take 只能指“花时间”。常用句型: It takes sb.some time to do sth.做某事花了某人多少时间。
cost 主语只能是物。常用句型:Sth.cost sb.some money.某物花了某人一些钱。
pay 主语必须是人。常用结构:pay for sth.为某物付款;pay for sb.替某人付钱。
(3)there be 句型:
①there be 句型是英语中的常用句型, 意思是“有”,表示“人或事物的存在”或“某地有某物”。基本结构如下:
a.There is/are/was/were+主语+地点/时间状语;
b.There will be+主语+地点/时间状语;
c.There is/are going to be+主语+地点/时间状语。
②there be 与 have 的转换:there be有时可与 have 相互转换。如:There is nothing but a book in my bag.=I have nothing but a book in my bag.我包里只有一本书。
③there be句型中主语后接不定式时常用主动形式表示被动意义。如:There is a lot of work to do.有许多工作要做。
【注意】there be句型的主语是something、anything、nothing等复合不定代词时,后面的不定式用主动形式和被动形式时意义不同。如:There is nothing to do.没有事可做。There is nothing to be done.没有办法(束手无策)。
④there be句型中的be动词可与其他词连用,构成复合谓语。如:There may be a rain this afternoon.今天下午可能有雨。There used to be a cinema here before the war.战前,这儿曾有一家电影院。

(1)They used to be very active together.
used to是一个固定结构,意为“过去经常,以前常常”,其后用动词原形。它表示过去存在某种状态或者过去的某种经常性、习惯性的行为或者动作,并意味着这种动作目前已经不存在,所以它只表示过去,不表示现在。含used to的句式结构如下:
①肯定句:主语+used to+动词原形+其他。如:I used to play with my friends after school.过去放学后我常常和朋友们一起玩。
②否定句:主语+didn't+use/usedn't to+动词原形+其他。如:You didn't use to like pop songs.你过去不喜欢流行歌曲。
③一般疑问句:Did+主语+use to+动词原形+其他?如:Did your sister use to be quiet
【链接】be used to doing sth.表示“习惯于做某事”。如:The teacher is used to going to bed late in the evening.那个老师习惯于晚睡。

weight作名词,意为“重量”,其动词形式为weigh(重达……)。常用短语:put on weight增加体重;lose weight减肥;by weight以重量计算;the weight of...……的重量;in weight在重量方面;over weight超重。如:She is on the way to lose weight.她正在减肥当中。

环节1 新课导入
教师用PPT快速呈现如下图片,让学生讨论哪些是健康食品,哪些不是。
设计意图:通过展示与饮食健康相关的图片,让学生讨论和认识健康食品,自然地引出本节课的主题,为接下来的学习做铺垫。
环节2 新课学习
1.教师先播放一遍教材第98页的课文录音,学生认真听,注意句子的语音语调;然后教师邀请两名学生在课堂上分角色朗读对话,教师注意纠正学生的发音。
2.让学生快速阅读对话,同时勾画出对话中的重点词汇和句型;随后教师对其进行讲解,并邀请两名学生说出该对话谈论的主题。教师同时对Learning Tip作简要讲解。
3.让学生浏览活动1中的四个句子,理解其意思;然后教师播放对话录音,学生认真听对话,判断出句子的正误,完成活动1的听力练习,教师带领学生一起核对答案。
4.让学生浏览活动2中的四个问题,然带着问题再次阅读对话,同时在对话中标记出答案的出处;教师抽几名学生说出自己的答案,最后教师核对答案。
5.让学生浏览活动3方框中的短语,理解其意思,然后完成填空练习。教师邀请几名学生分别说出自己的答案,并翻译句子;最后全班一起核对答案。
6.小组活动。教师把学生分成几个小组,让小组成员相互采访有关健康饮食的话题。采访问题如下:What are some of your favourite foods How often do you eat these foods 采访后,各组员根据活动4的示例,完成表格。教师抽两到三组成员展示他们的表格内容,并一起讨论各组成员的饮食习惯是否健康。最后教师作总结。
7.要点点拨。
(1)To tell you the truth, I decided to change my eating habits.
①truth作名词,意为“事实”。其形容词形式为true。短语to tell(you)the truth意为“说实话”,经常放在句首,作插入语,在句中不作任何成分。
②decide作动词,意为“决定”。常用结构:decide to do sth.意为“决定做某事”;“decide+疑问词+动词不定式”意为“决定……”;“decide+that从句”意为“决定……”。
③habit作名词,意为“习惯”。常用词组:good habit 好习惯;bad habit 坏习惯;living habit 生活习惯;change the habit改变习惯;develop a habit养成习惯;eating habit饮食习惯。
(2)How often
how often引出的问句通常用来对动作发生的频率进行提问,常用always、usually、often、sometimes、every day、once a week、three times a month等进行回答。如:—How often do you go to the library?你多久去一次图书馆?—Almost every day.几乎每天都去。
