Captain Henry, a 98-year-old American retired fisherman, has become a first-time author, having written and published his autobiography In a Fisherman's Language after learning to read at the age of 91.
Mr. Henry spent most of his life with even his closest family members not knowing he was illiterate(不识字的). Forced to leave school in the third grade to take jobs t he kept the secret close to his chest, only telling his late wife. His life stories became so popular that nearly 800 copies were sold in the first two weeks after the book was published. One thousand more were printed as requested for the book flooded in as far as Germany. And even Hollywood producers have approached Mr. Henry about buying the rights to his life stories for a big screen adaptation(改编本).
The family also now has a book agent(代理人) and a deal in the works to publish a second edition. Meanwhile, the family says they are reconnecting and closer than ever as a result of Henryks late-life efforts. "Every one has a story, and it teaches that when you're down, never give up," Marlisa said.

To me inspirations(灵感) mean to put my thoughts, heart, and creations into my jewelry. Sometimes I become so inspired with what I'm working on, that I can finish one or more sets in less than an hour. Because of that feeling, I have named my jewelry collection Inspirations.
I am a 17-year old senior with Sickle Cell Anemia. With this, I am in and out of the hospital a lot. So I started making jewelry a year ago when I was in the hospital. I really needed something to do,so I was introduced to jewelry making by a child life specialist(专家).
One day while lying in my hospital bed, I decided to get up and go to the patient's playroom, and look through the craft designs. That was when I became inspired to design my jewelry collection, and named it Inspirations.
When I'm not sick, I try to keep a positive attitude through reading, school work, and craft activities.
Even though it's a lot of work, I try to stay focused at all times. When I need a break or just to be free I turn to my craft activities. This is a way to ease my mind and it always helps me to especially get through those stressful times.
I am getting very excited about graduating next year and preparing myself for college. Who knows my collection of Inspirations would take me to places I've always dreamed of I may see celebrities I admire and even sell them some of my beautiful Inspirations.
If they wear my Inspirations, they will become well known and more demanding.
What a great way to make some extra money for college!

The year I turned 30, my friend Erin and I decided to hike part of Newfoundland's East Coast Trail—215 kilometres between Cappahayden and St. John's where the wild scenery was very charming! The path there would bring us great fun.
Neither of us had gone on a hiking trip longer than five days and now we were in for 14, but we were excited. Nature! Strength! Character! Our hike would end up giving me all of those things in cruel abundance, but there was one take-home I didn't expected: proof of the astonishing kindness of strangers.
As a shy woman schooled in the risk of stranger danger, I'm not one to open up to people I don't know. In Toronto I don't even chat with my seatmate on the subway or in a grocery line, and I certainly don't ask for help unless I'm desperate. But on this hike I had to learn new ways to cope.
Over our first two days we covered less than 30 kilometres, most of it in the rain. What had been a gentle mist when we started evolved into a downpour by the second day. Nothing dried overnight, everything was wet. The roads were rugged, with muddy patches so deep that stepping in the wrong place meant mud to mid-calf—which is to say over and into your boots. We squelched(发出嘎吱声)with every step.
All that was very awful for me. On our second day, as we were still on a road looking like cats left in the rain, a woman and her parents making their way from car to house caught sight of us and took pity. "Would you like to come in for a cup of tea " Jenny asked.
"Thank you!"
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;

故填to improve。
故填than。
指物用that/which,故填that或者which。
The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture finds that between 2005 - when the government started a soil-testing program which /that gives specific fertilizer recommendations to farmers - and 2011,fertilizer use dropped by 7.7 million tons. 代指物并作主语,关系词要用that/which。

第二节
答案:
Para 1
We hurried to their lovely home. I was totally at a loss what to say when the woman supplied us new clothes since ours were all wet through the rain. Wearing the new clothes, warmth spread throughout my entire body. Throwing a warm smile at the woman, I thanked her from the bottom of my heart. "Would you like a cup of coffee " she questioned. Then, a cup of hot coffee was handed into my hand. I smiled, "Sure!" The next moment witnessed our happy time when we shared most of our travelling story. For the first time, the stranger's warmth found its way straight into my heart.
Para 2
We'd encounter more kindness on the trip. The next day, we continued our trip. Whenever we got into trouble, the travelers or the passersby would extend their helping hand to us. Tired and exhausted as we were, the kindness from the strangers really astonished me. From that trip on, I would always open up to people I don't know because I know most of them would be always ready to show their kindness.
