practice 用作及物动词, 后跟名词、代词或动词的-ing 形式。
practice doing sth.
练习做某事
注意：practice 用作动词，表示“练习”时，
美式英语写作practice，
英式英语写作practise。
中考常考接动词的-ing 形式作宾语的动词(短语)：
完成练习值得忙(finish, practise/practice, be worth, be busy)
继续习惯要放弃(keep on, be used to, give up)
考虑建议不禁想(consider, suggest/advise, can’t help, feel like)
喜欢错过要介意(enjoy, miss, mind)
允许盼望要冒险(allow, look forward to, risk)
避免推迟不容忍(avoid, put off, can’t stand)
practice 用作不可数名词, 意为“练习, 实践”
e.g. Practice makes perfect.
熟能生巧。(谚语)
make breakfast 做早饭
make 与do的区别
make
“生产, 制造”, 指用原材料制作成某种东西, 或经过努力而做成某物。一般强调做东西时用make。
do
指进行一项经常性的或指定的活动, 一般强调做事情时用do。
含有make 的短语：
make one’s bed 铺床 make a noise 发出噪音
make faces 做鬼脸 make dumplings 包饺子
make friends with... 和……交朋友 make up 组成；化妆
make a difference 起作用 make rules 制定规则
make mistakes 犯错误 make progress 取得进步
make up one’s mind 下定决心 make fun of 取笑
make room for 为……让出地方
make sb. feel at home 舒适自在, 无拘无束
before /b f (r)/prep. 在……以前
表示时间，反义词是after
before用作介词且表示时间时，其后只能接表示时间点的词，不能接表示时间段的词。
before 的其他用法：
①介词, 意为“在……前面”, 表示位置, 其反义词为behind。
②副词, 意为“以前”。
③连词, 意为“在……以前”, 引导时间状语从句
too many 太多
too much
“太多(的……) ”, 后接不可数名词, 还可修饰动词作状语。
I have too much homework this evening.
今天晚上我有太多的家庭作业。
He talks too much.
他说得太多了。
much too
“太……”, much用来增强语气, much too 后面常接形容词或副词。
This little boy is much too fat.
这个小男孩太胖了。

把……留/ 放/ 忘在某地

辨析: noisy, noise 与noisily
Noisy adj. 吵闹的
Don’t be noisy! Be quiet, please.
不要吵闹！请安静。
Noise n. 吵闹声, 噪音
Don’t make so much noise. Dad is sleeping in the next room. 不要制造这么大的噪音。爸爸正在隔壁的房间里睡觉。
Noisily adv. 吵闹地

keep 意为“保持；保留”,
用于“keep ＋宾语＋宾语补足语”结构,
表示“使……保持某种状态”,
其中宾语补足语通常由形容词、副词、介词短语等充当。

不及物动词，相当于rest/have a rest。
