相同:都意为“取得;获得”。
区别:
achieve 指克服困难之后获得;

win指在竞争、比赛、争论或战斗中击败对手而赢得胜利。
【拓展2】 achievement是achieve的名词形式, 意为“成就;业绩;实现;成功”, 当它意为具体的某项“成就,业绩”时是可数名词;当它意为不确定的“实现;成功”时是不可数名词。

(1) enough在此句作副词,意为“足够地;
充分地”,修饰形容词、副词或动词,常
与to或for连用。

【拓展】enough还可作形容词,意为“足够的;充分的”,通常在句中作定语或表语。

(2) anyway adv. 无论如何;不管怎样

keep doing sth.意为“ 坚持继续做某事” ,强
调动作的连续不断,不与瞬间性动词连用;
keep on doing sth.强调反复性和决心,既可
接瞬间性动词,也可接持续性动词,相当于
go on doing sth.
例:She kept working until midnight.她一直
工作到午夜。
Although he is tired, he keeps on climbing
the mountain. 尽管他很累,但他仍坚持
爬山。

fun n. 快乐;乐趣 (不可数) 。常用短语:
have fun 玩得开心 ,have fun (in) doing
sth. 做某事很开心/有趣。

Around the world
Since the twelfth century,
people have been inventing
languages, in the hope that a
world language would ease human communication. Only one of these
invented languages has enjoyed
any success, though.
An invented language
It is called Esperanto. It was invented by a Polish man named Zamenhof. His language is based on Latin, German and Greek vocabulary. Each letter always makes the same sound, and the grammar rules are simple.
Although Esperanto is spoken by about two million people and a thousand of them have learnt it as a first language, it is unlikely to become a world language.

1. 状语从句
使用状语从句有两点要注意:
(1) 状语从句中连词的选用;
(2) 条件状语从句中的时态。
状语从句中连词的选用。
状语从句中使用什么连词是由句子所表达的逻辑
意义决定的。这需要我们理解连词的意思和功能。
Language points
常用的连词:
(1) 时间状语从句的连词:when (当……时)、
while(当……时)、as(当……时)、before(在……之前)、after(在……之后)、until(直到……才)、as soon as (一……就)等。
例:My father took the photos when we lived in
China.我们在中国的时候我爸爸拍的这些照片。
You’re not going out until you’ve finished this.

(2) 地点状语从句的连词:where 指某个地点
例:We must camp where we can get water.

(8) 让步状语从句的连词:although, though
例:Although the car is old, it still runs well.

条件状语从句中的时态
在条件状语从句中,如果主句的时态是一般将来,从句一般用一般现在时。
例:If it rains tomorrow, we will play inside.
如果明天下雨,我们就在室内玩。
2. 不定式
(1)作动词的宾语
放在谓语动词之后的不定式作谓语动词的宾语。
如: want to do sth.、agree to do sth.、decide to do sth. 等。
例:I decided to join some student clubs and
take part in as many activities as I could.
我决定加入一些学生俱乐部并且尽可能
多参加活动。
(2) 作宾语补足语
不定式作宾语补足语是指在 “ v.+名词/代词+(to) do sth.” 结构中的不定式。变否定时只需在不定式前加not,其中的to在某些动词后面需省略。
例:I told them to stop, but they wouldn’t.
我告诉他们停止,但他们不听。
They asked me to leave.他们让我离开。

(3)作目的状语
不定式还可以作目的状语。不定式作目的状语时,
