情态动词can的用法
一、基本用法
can是情态动词,其后接动词原形,没有人称和数的变化,主要用法如下。
1. 表示能力(如体力和脑力方面),意为“能;会”等。如:
Can you speak English 你会讲英语吗?
Can you play the piano 你会弹钢琴吗?

2. 表示请求或允许,多用在口语中,意为“可以;能”等。用于疑问句中用来提出要求,用于否定句表示不允许。如:
Mum,can I wear my new dress today?妈妈,今天我可以穿我的新连衣裙吗?
You can see a film with your friend,but you must come back before 10:00.你可以和你的朋友去看电影,但是你必须在10点前回来。
Can you...?请你……好吗?表示说话人的请求;如:

Can I...?我可以……吗?用来征求对方是否允许自己做某事。如在句末加上 please一词就显得更有礼貌了。如:

3. 表示可能性,意为“可能”,多用于疑问句和否定句中。如:
He can be at home now.
他现在可能在家。
The moon can’t always be full.
月亮不可能常圆。
4. 表示怀疑。在表达此意时,只能用于一般疑问句中,带有感彩。如:
Can it be true 那会是真的吗?
二、含有情态动词can的各种句式
1.肯定句:主语+can+动词原形+其他.
如: I can sweep the floor.我会扫地。
2.否定句:主语+ can't/cannot +动词原形+其他.
如:Mike can't speak Chinese.迈克不会说汉语。
3.一般疑问句:Can+主语+动词原形+其他?
简略回答:Yes,主语+can./No,主语+can't.

1.Can you fly a kite?
fly a kite/kites意为“放风筝”。此处fly用作及物动词,意为“放飞”。如:Children like flying kites in spring.孩子们喜欢在春天放风筝。
【拓展】fly①可用作不及物动词,意为“飞”。常用短语:fly to意为“飞往……”。如:How much does it cost to fly to the United States?乘坐飞机到美国需要多少钱?②可用作可数名词,意为“苍蝇”。
2.He can make our classroom tidy.
(1)make在此处作使役动词,意为“使,让”。常用结构:make+sb./sth.+形容词 使某人/某物…… make sb.do sth.使某人做某事。
如:The soft music makes me relaxed.这种轻音乐使我放松。The boss makes the workers work for a whole day.老板让工人工作一整天。
make还可作实义动词,意为“成为,制作”。如:Mum makes a birthday cake for me on my birthday.妈妈在我生日那天为我做了一个生日蛋糕。
(2)tidy作形容词,意为“整洁的”。它的反义词为untidy(凌乱的)。如:The meeting room is clean and tidy.会议室干净整洁。
tidy还可作动词,意为“收拾,整理”。如:Tidy your room!把你的房间收拾一下!
3.Invite people to join.
invite作及物动词,意为“邀请”。常用短语:invite sb.to do sth.邀请某人做某事。如:I will invite her to go out for dinner.我将邀请她出去吃饭。
【拓展】invite的名词形式为invitation作名词,意为“邀请”。如:He will be angry if you refuse his invitation.如果你拒绝他的邀请,他会生气的。

(2)【辨析】join、join in与take part in
三者都有“参加”的意思,但是用法不同:
join 指加入某个党派、团体、组织等,成为其成员之一;表示“和某人一起做某事”用join sb.in (doing) sth.。
join in 多指参加小规模的活动,如球赛、游戏等,常用于日常口语中。
take part in 指参加会议或群众性活动等,着重强调句子主语参加该项活动并在活动中发挥作用,有时可与join in进行互换。

(3)play the piano意为“弹钢琴”。play与乐器类名词搭配使用时,名词前需加定冠词the;但当它与球类或棋类名词搭配使用时,名词前不用冠词。

“What about...?”意为“……怎么样?” 在寒暄时,可用作承接上下文的转折语,相当于“How about...?” 如:I am from Beijing.What/How about you?我来自北京。你呢?
“What/How about...?”的其他一些用法:
①提出建议或请求。如:What/How about going out for a walk?出去散散步好吗?
②用于征询对方的看法或意见。如:What about the TV play?那部电视剧怎么样?
③询问天气或身体等情况。如:What about the weather in your hometown?你们家乡的天气如何?

like作动词,意为“喜欢”。常用短语:like to do sth.喜欢做某事(强调具体某一次喜欢);like doing sth.喜欢做某事(强调长期的、习惯性的喜欢)。如:I like painting very much.我非常喜欢画画。I like to go shopping this afternoon.我想今天下午去购物。
4.Can you cook,Daming?
cook在此处用作不及物动词,意为“烹调,做菜”。如:Everyone should learn to cook.每个人都应该学会做饭。
cook的其他用法:
①可用作及物动词,意为“烹调”。如:Can you cook meals?你会做饭吗?
②可用作可数名词,意为“厨师”。如:I want to be a cook when I grow up.我长大后想成为一名厨师。
5.I can't speak Chinese very well.
(1)【辨析】speak、say、talk与tell
四者都可用作动词,表示“说”,但是侧重点不同。
词汇 用法
speak
及物动词,意为“说”,指对语言的口头掌握或使用;不及物动词,意为“说话”,表示说话的基本能力。
say 及物动词,意为“说”,着重指说话的内容。
talk 不及物动词,着重指两者之间的相互交谈,常与of、with、to等介词连用。
tell 及物动词,意为“告诉”,常接双宾语,即:tell sb.sth.=tell sb.about sth.告诉某人某事。

①well作副词时,常修饰动词、形容词或副词,表程度;well还可以作形容词,用于系动词之后作表语,意为“身体好的,健康的”。如:She draws very well.她画画很好。I hope you are well.我希望你身体健康。
② good作形容词,意为“好的,不错的”,可用于名词前作定语,也可放在用于系动词后作表语。如:This book is very good.这本书很好。
well与good的比较级均为better,最高级均为best。
6.Don't worry about Chinese.
(1)这是一个否定祈使句,句型结构为:Don't+动词原形+其他.否定祈使句主要用来表示禁止、规劝等。如:Don't speak loudly. 别大声说话。
其他形式的否定祈使句:
① Never+动词原形+其他.
② No+名词/动名词!这种简短式祈使句主要出现在公共场所,表示“禁止做某事”。
肯定祈使句:①动词原形+其他!如:Come here!过来!② Let's/Let us + 动词原形+其他!如:Let's do it now! 我们现在开始做吧!
(2)worry在此处用作不及物动词,意为“担心”。常用短语:worry about=be worried about 意为“对……担心、忧虑”。如:They are worrying about the coming exam.他们正为即将到来的考试而发愁。
worry①可用作及物动词,意为“使烦恼,使焦虑”,其后常接sb.作宾语。
②还可用作可数名词,意为“烦恼”。
7.We can teach you Chinese!
teach在此处用作及物动词,意为“教”。短语:teach sb.sth.教给某人某事物;teach sb.to do sth.教某人做某事”;teach oneself自学,其同义短语为learn...by oneself。

get on with的其他含义:

(1)work hard是动词短语,意为“努力工作”。work hard to do sth.意为“努力做某事”,有时可转化为work hard at sth.。
如:You must work hard to study /at English as it is so important.因为英语很重要,所以你必须努力学习它。
hard①作副词,意为“努力地,辛苦地”。它用于修饰动词,放在动词后面。②可作形容词,意为“坚硬的,努力的,猛烈的”,用于修饰名词。
hardly作副词,意为“几乎不”,表否定。如:She hardly does sports.她几乎不做运动。
