T:Yes,you are right! Communication is one of the most important things in a good friendship.So this unit we are going to learn why communication is important and how to get along well with others.Now let's begin!
设计意图:以学生感兴趣的话题开篇,重点在于吸引学生的注意,激起学生的学习兴趣,同时锻炼学生的口语表达能力。
环节2 新课学习
1.让学生浏览“THINK ABOUT IT”中的两个问题,然后分小组讨论,并记录下自己小组的观点。教师让每个小组派一个代表来分享自己组的观点。
2.教师播放教材第130页的对话录音,学生边听边轻声跟读,了解对话大意,并划出重点词汇和句型。
3.给学生几分钟的时间来梳理对话内容,让学生加深对对话的理解,然后邀请学生分角色表演对话。
4.让学生根据对话内容,完成活动1的任务。教师核对答案。
5.让学生仔细阅读活动2的要求,然后完成活动2的练习。教师和学生们一起核对答案。
6.让学生大声朗读活动3方框中的形容词,然后写出其对应的副词形式,并用副词形式完成句子。
7.教师点名,学生朗读句子,全班核对答案。完成活动3的任务。
8.让学生分组活动,根据活动4的要求来完成任务。教师邀请两三组学生分享对于“沟通”的看法。
9.要点点拨。
(1)How do you get along with others in school or at home
get along with 与get on with同义,意为“和……相处”或表示“……的进展情况”。如果表示相处融洽或进展顺利要用副词well进行修饰。例:How are you getting on with your work 你们的工作进展如何?
(2)If we can't communicate well,we can hardly get along with our friends.
【辨析】hard和hardly
① hard可以作形容词,也可以作副词,意为“困难的;努力地;猛烈地”。它表示的是肯定的意义。
② hardly用作副词,意为“几乎不;几乎没有”。它表示否定意义,其同义短语为almost not。
【注意】含有hardly的句子是否定句。
(3)I guess that people who know how to communicate well with others are happier and more satisfied with their lives.
这句话中的I guess 是主句,后面是that引导的宾语从句。宾语从句中的主语是people,后面的who know how to communicate well with others是定语从句,作定语,修饰前面的名词 people。句中的be satisfied with 与be pleased with 同义,意为“对……感到满意”。
10.学以致用。(根据汉语意思完成句子)
(1)他和他的同学们相处得很融洽。
He gets along well with his classmates.

T:Yes,to be a good listener is a way to communicate,but there are still lots of other things we must pay attention to.We will learn these things in Lesson 50.Now please open your text book.
设计意图:以学生感兴趣的话题开篇,吸引学生的注意,然后通过师生间的对话自然而然地引入本课主题“Tips for good communication”。
环节2 新课学习
1.让学生浏览“THINK ABOUT IT”中的两个问题,分小组讨论问题,并记录下自己小组的观点。然后派代表分享自己小组的成果。
2.教师播放教材第132页短文的录音,学生边听边轻声跟读,了解短文大意,并在文中划出重要知识点。
3.让学生针对文章中自己不明白的地方提问,教师进行讲解,并穿插讲解文章中的重要知识点。
4.让学生再次听录音,并大声跟读,练习语音语调。
5.让学生仔细阅读活动1的题干,然后听录音,完成活动1的任务。教师点名,学生分享答案。
6.让学生仔细阅读活动2中的句子,理解其意思,并进行分类。全班核对答案。

句中的to find a topic you are both interested in是不定式用在系动词后作表语;其中的you are both interested in 是定语从句,修饰前面的名词topic。

My opinion on getting along well with others
In my opinion,getting on well with others is important for us.It makes us work and study happily.How can we get along well with others
First of all,respecting others is the most important.And we should be friendly to each other.Especially,when they are in trouble,we should help them instead of laughing at them.Then to understand others is also important.We should learn to exchange our situations when we think about many things.Next,I think believing in others is necessary.Of course,we must be honest first.Finally,sharing is another good way.We may share our happiness with
others,and we may share their trouble,too.
If we do everything in these ways,we will get along well with others.

used to的意思是“过去常常”,其后加动词原形,它可以用于各种人称之后。它的否定句式和疑问句式可以有以下两种变化形式:
否定句:used not to + 动词原形
didn't use to + 动词原形
疑问句:Used + 主语 + to + 动词原形?
Did + 主语 + use to + 动词原形?
【拓展】与used to相似的句式是be used to,它的意思是“习惯于”,后加名词、代词、动名词作介词宾语,并且它有各种人称和时态的变化。
(2)Say hi to her when you pass her at school.
句式say hi to...意为“和……打招呼”,其中的hi可用hello替换。
【拓展】类似句式还有:say goodbye to... 向……告别;say sorry to... 向……表示道歉;say thanks to...向……表示感谢;say no to...拒绝……;say yes to... 同意……

(1)She is not looking forward to working with her group because a boy named Li Tian is always absent from the group meetings.
①look forward to意为“期待,期望,期盼”。其中to是介词,其后可接名词、代词或动名词作宾语,不能接动词原形。例:I'm looking forward to receiving your letter.我期待着收到你的来信。
②absent在本句中作形容词,意为“缺席的,不在的”。常用短语:be absent from缺席,不出现。例:He was absent from the meeting.他缺席了那次会议。
(2)...but I don't want to say something stupid,so I do nothing.
something stupid意为“一些愚蠢的事/话”,其中something为不定代词,stupid为形容词。当形容词修饰不定代词时,要放在不定代词之后。例:I have something important to tell you.我有一些重要的事情要告诉你。
