(1)be supposed to的用法
①意为“应该,被期待”。其后接动词原形,相当于ought to/should do sth.。
②意为“被认为……”。例:The boy is supposed to be talented in music.这个男孩被认为在音乐上很有天分。
③当be动词用过去式时,be supposed to还可意为“本应,本该”,表示事情或动作本该发生而没有发生。
(2)be expected to的用法
be expected to意为“被期待……”,其后接动词原形。它是一个被动结构,其主动形式为expect sb.to do sth.期待某人做某事。
(3)“It's+adj.+(for/of sb.)+动词不定式”的用法
①It's+adj.+(for sb.)+动词不定式.做某事(对某人来说)是……的。其中的形容词主要用于说明事物的性质,如:easy、important、difficult、hard等。
②It's+adj.+of sb.+动词不定式.某人做某事是……的。其中的形容词主要用于说明人物的性格特征,如:nice、kind、rude、polite、crazy等。
