教学目标：
（一）语言知识目标
学会用英语介绍景点。
能用How long/How big+is+something对景点或城市提问。
能根据上面提问回答。
语言技能目标
能听懂How long/How big+is+something句型提问，并会回答。还会对看到的事物，身边的事物用How long/big/ wide/tall/high+something进行提问。
情感目标
通过对身边的事物，看到的事物提问，发展学生思维，与同学交流，用英文描述事物，培养学生运用语言的能力。培养了学生学习英语的兴趣。
教学重点和难点。
能用How long/How big+is+something句型提问对景点或城市提问。
教学难点：学会用How long/big/ wide/tall/high is+something句型进行提问并回答。
教学评价。
语言知识目标评价：通过动画，文本图片，跟读，能听说认读本课的重点词汇。
语言技能目标评价：通过分角色朗读，表演等形式，会用文章重要语句进行交流。
情感态度目标评价：通过与同学交流，培养学生运用英语的能力，同学之间和睦相处，取长补短。培养学习英语的兴趣。
教学过程：
1.播放课文动画。
T: Do you know this place
S:It’s the Great Wall.
T:What do you think of the Great Wall
S:It’s old/ long./strong......
继续播放动画。学生Listen and chant.
播放动画，学习课文第二部分。播放动画前，老师提问:
联系五年级内容提问：Where is Daming going
Where is Daming now
What are they doing
What’s this
How long is the Great Wall
How big is New York
How big is Beijing
学生看完动画后，分小组进行讨论。不会的单词勾出来，联系上下文进行猜测。
对以上问题分组回答。不会的单词老师教读，抽学生读，小组读，一个接一个读，全班齐读等方式操练。回答完上面问题。
联系身边事物，用How wide / long/ tall/ high is +sth. 句型进行提问并解答，拓展学生思维。
6.拓展训练。 Guess animals and fruit
教学过程：
A：It’s an animal.
B: Tell me more about it .
启发学生用学过的句型从多个角度去猜。学生经过思考，纷纷举手。
A：I can’t tell you . Guess!
B: What colour is it
A: It’s red/blue/gray.
学生此时有点好奇了，老师继续引导， 有这些颜色的动物太多了，继续缩小范围。
B：Where does it live
A: It lives in Australia
学生更感兴趣了，老师继续引导，居住在澳大利亚的动物太多了，提示学生还可以用 has got / have got 或can这个句型来猜。
B：What it can / Can it ……
当学生猜Can it jump
A: Yes, it can .
范围在慢慢缩小，老师提示学生用 Has it got ……
B: Has it got a tail
A: Yes, it has .
B：Has it got ……
A: A mother has got a pocket .
学生一下就兴奋了，大家一齐脱口而出，It’s kangaroo .
B：老师很高兴地说： It’s a kangaroo. 用同样的方法猜 fish . snake . monkey . snow fox …..
老师播放雪狐捕食的视频。搜世界上最会为伪装的动物——叶海龙。 最漂亮的/有趣的 / 聪明的动物。开阔学生眼界。
继续猜fruit.
A: It’s fruit .
B: Tell me more about it .
A: I don’t tell you . Guess.
B: What colour is it
A: It’s green.
B: What colour is in it
A: It’s green or red .
B:What are there in it
A: There are some seeds in it .
猜到这里，孩子们又卡到了，老师继续引导，用味道或 Has it got ……来提。
B：Is it sweet or spicy？
A：It’s sweet.
B: Has it got something
A: It has got hair on it 学生一下就兴奋了，知道是猕猴桃。
