Unit 5 What’s the weather like today
教学目标
1.知识目标
(1)使学生能听、说、读、写词汇sunny. windy, cloudy, rainy, snowy, weather report。
(2)在小组讨论下,能将所学其短语替换到句型What is the weather like today 中进行灵活运用。
2、能力目标:
能根据本课新词组,流利的进行口语交流。
3、情感目标:
激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立学习英语的自信心,培养学生的合作交流能力。
教学重点：
要求学生在学习重点词汇的基础上能够理解和运用对What’s the weather like today It’s snowy/ cloudy/sunny/rainy/windy.
教学难点：
让学生拓展学习询问天气状况的另一表达How is the weather？
教学准备：
1、根据实际情况准备一些相关天气的单词卡片图片；
2、本课时的课件以及一小段天气预报视频。
教学过程：
一、Leading in：
I have some pictures to show all of you.Can you guess what’s it Now,let’s guess first.
（Teacher shows the picture about sun、cloud、wind、snow、rain）
T：Now, look at these words.If I want to describe the weather ,I should add letter “y”in the end of each word.So cloud-cloudy wind-windy snow-snowy rain-rainy You should pay attention to the word “sun”,add to “n”and “y”in the end.sun-sunny
二、Teach students new sentences:
T：How are you feeling now
Ss:I’m feeling good.And you
T: I feel good ,too. Because the weather is warm,isn’t it
Ss:Yes, it is.
T:If I want to know about weather, I can say that “What’s the weather like ”
(教师板书重点句型：What’s the weather like 边写边解释)
教师自问自答What’s the weather like It’s snowy/cloudy/sunny /rainy/windy.
三、Practice

I’ll act and some Ss can guess what’s it 男女生PK .
2、Consolidation
①Ask the Ss to listen to the dialogue of part A, then I’ll ask them some questions.
②Ask the Ss to read the dialogue after the tape .
③Role-play and try your best to recite this dialogue with your partner.
4、Conclusion
We should care about weather and remind our family take an umbrella in rainy day,wear warm coat in snowy day,wear T-shirt in sunny day and so on.The important thing is we should protect our environment to keep weather better and cleaner.
教学反思：
本单元的主要教学内容是“询问天气状况如何”及答句，学会用天气形容词来描述天气状况，是学生在日常生活中经常涉及的话题。教学中，在学习了四会单词的基础上，引导学生进入本单元的话题讨论。在课堂上充分的使用学生课本，尽可能创设贴近生活的真实情景，以利于学生在日常生活中自然的流利的运用所学内容。
