一、教学目标
1.知识目标
(1)能够根据图文说出并拼写关于聚会上会做的事情的词汇:
else, piano, disco, perform, ballet;
(2)能够正确使用选择疑问句的提问和回答,

(3)能够运用情态动词can和can’t能够谈论会做和不会做的事情,

(2)能够根据图文说出本话题的词汇、短语和句型;
(3)能够正确地朗读短文,注意语音语调;
(4)能写出聚会上会做和不会做的事情。

(1)积极参与课堂活动,大胆发言,勇于探索知识;
(2)以小组为单位进行合作探究,在小组活动中能积极与他人合作,互相帮助,共同完成学习任务。
二、教学内容分析
本节课是第七单元话题二的第一课时,是七年级下册第三个话题的第一节课,主要活动是1a、1b、1c和3。将要学习如何正确使用情态动词can和can’t能够谈论会做和不会做的事情,还将学会正确使用选择疑问句的提问和回答,让学生学会在聚会谈论会做和不会做的事情。
三、学情分析
七年级是学习英语的关键时期,这个阶段的学生活泼、好奇心和求知欲望强。比如像本课所涉及的在生日聚会上会做和不会做的事情,他们渴望用英语来表达。另外,七年级学生的心理特点反映在学习英语的能力上,他们模仿和记忆的能力特别强。在知识积累方面,学生已经掌握了一定的词汇和句型,对语言学习的热情也逐步增加。他们更感兴趣的是如何用英语来表述与现实生活息息相关的话题。
四、教学环节与活动
1.根据图文提问能做的事情;
2.提问谈论聚会上能做不能做的事情的句式;
3.以小组为单位介绍在生日聚会上能做不能做的事并进行展示和点评。

六、教学过程
Step 1: Warming up and Lead in
1. Let the Ss enjoy the video.
2. Greet Ss by asking them: How are you today Today we’ll learn about Unit 7 Topic 2
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. Look at the picture and learn to use “can”.
2. Show more pictures and lead the students to master the structure of the conversation.
3. Let the Ss work in pairs, ask and answer according to the pictures shown one by on.
4. Let the Ss work in groups to talk about what they can or can’t do.
Step 3. While listening
1. Listen to 1a and match Jane and Maria with what they can do at Kang Kang’s birthday party.
2. Listen to 1a again and fill in the blanks.
3. watch the video and understand the conversation.
Step 4. Post-listening
1. Work in pairs to practice 1a.
2. Read 1a and find out the key points. Explain them and let the Ss do exercises to practice.
3. Listen to the conversation in 2 and mark T(True) or F(False).
4. Think about a question. Kangkang invites us to his birthday party. What can you do at the party
5. Let the Ss make a survey in groups. Then give a report.
Step 5. Consolidation
1. Show Ss Chinese words and phrases. Have a competition between boys and girls. Select one of the boys and one of the girls to come up to the blackboard to write down the English words and phrases.
