Teaching steps
Warm-up and revision
Show some pictures about animals. Ask students about their favorite animals. Let them use some adjectives to describe their favorite animals.
(设计意图:此时展示一些动物的图片,既生动形象,又能吸引学生的注意力,通过图片让学生用所学过的形容词去描述自己喜欢的动物,效果很好。)
Lead in
Show a picture about a gate of zoo, then ask students: Do you want to see more animals. OK, now let’s go to the zoo.
(设计意图:通过形象的图片能吸引学生的注意力。)
Watch some videos
Play some videos about animals, then ask students to use some adjectives to describe them, if necessary, write down some new adjectives on the blackboard. Then lead students to read again and again.
(通过生动形象的视频,学生不仅能在轻松的环境中学习英语,并且短小生动的视频更好调动学生的积极性,在观看视频的过程中学习新单词,效果更佳。)
Descriptions
Show some pictures about animals. Then describe the animals in the pictures. Try to guide students to use the structures like this: I like/don’t like … because …
