Teaching procedures The purpose of the design
Step 1 Lead--in (3 min) Ss talk about the Chinese traditional stories they know. ●(1a) Ss match the story titles with the pictures. Step 2 Task-introduction (2 nim) 1.Ss tell the story of “Yu Gong Moves the Mountains” based on their existing knowledge. [ Q: What do you know about the story (1) When does the story happen (2) Where does it happen (3) Besides Yu Gong , who else do you know in the story ] Step 1+2: 激活学生已有的经验和知识,并设置情景,布置任务,让学生在相对真实的情景下,使用英语完成任务。
Step 3 Listening (6 min) Ss listen to the conversation and find out the reason why Yu Gong wanted to move the mountains. 【使用“班班通”】 所需题目:Listen to the conversation and choose the reason why Yu Gong wanted to move the mountains. Step 4 Practice:Tell the story (7 min) Ss tell this part of the story based on the pictures and key words. Picture 1: Background of the story Once upon a time, there was an old man, Yu Gong. Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 2 The reason for moving the mountains: He wanted to move the mountains because it took a long time to walk to the other side. 3. How to move the mountains? Yu Gong and his family decided to put the earth and stone into the sea. 【操练步骤: 游戏:story pillow 击鼓传抱枕,时间到的时候,拿到枕头的同学讲第一句,后两位讲剩下的两句】 Q: What’s the best of the story Step 4 :学生根据听力内容讲故事,在图片和关键词的辅助下,记忆故事。最后通过记忆抢答游戏,增强趣味性,加深学生对故事的印象。

[Key: CBAD] Step 5: 第二段听力讲述了故事的剩余部分。 首先,学生根据听内容给四幅图排序,以此检测学生对故事的理解,此处可以用“班班通”完成。之后,让学生根据录音填空,完成对四幅图片的描述。
Step 6 Practice (6 min) 学生跟读。之后自由练习和记忆。 游戏:Chain Game (学生根据图片和关键词,一人一图,接龙完成故事,最快完成的小组获胜。) Step 6: 通过游戏,帮助学生记忆故事情节并较为流利地完成讲述。

Teaching Reflection
The teaching design of this lesson aims at developing students’ ability to read classical Chinese sense of language and the spirit of overcoming difficulties. From the class point of view, the interaction between teachers and students in the process of collision of wisdom and the spark of thought, enrich classroom content, extent the class width, make students really learn something, thinking and understanding, understanding the income, to achieve the desired purpose. In the teaching process, in order to create a strong learning atmosphere, to stimulate interest in learning, I put a flash animation, naturally leads to the end to the lesson topic, I played “MTV” on the screen and great determination and courage, the hearts of students and increase the classroom heavy feeling. Of course, this lesson also has a little regret, that is the analysis of the character of the old man,because of concerns about the lack of time, not fully developed, too hasty, not deep enough.
