1. 学生能用单词thirsty、ill、tired、happy、sad、hungry和句型What’s the matter / I’m … 来表达自己的感受。
2. 学生能听、说、读、写单词water、thirsty、ill、tired、happy.
3. 学生能理解故事内容，并能在理解的基础上表演小故事。
4. 通过故事的学习，教育学生感受爱、学会爱。
【教学重难点】
1. 单词thirsty、tired、ill、happy、hungry、sad的理解和掌握。
2. 句型What’s the matter 在实际生活中的灵活运用。

【教学过程】
Step1. Enjoy a song.
(1)Introduce the song
T: First, let’s enjoy the song together. It’s about Teddy and Puppy.
(2) Watch and answer: What’s the matter with Teddy and Puppy
(3) Teach: What’s the matter (板书,揭题)
(4) Teach: hungry, thirsty
(3)Practice and chant: Teddy, Teddy, what’s the matter
I’m hungry. I’m hungry.
Puppy, Puppy, what’s the matter
I’m hungry. I’m thirsty. Hungry and thirsty.
Step2. Pre-reading
1. Show the picture of Taotao
T: . This is our old friend Taotao. He is not happy. He is sad.
2. Learning goals
T: Before learning the story, I’ll give you three goals. Look, here they are. Try to finish them, OK Come on! (PPT出示学习目标)
Step3. While reading
1. Watch and tick: What’s the matter with Taotao
(1)Teach: ill, tired
(2)Pair work: These words about feelings. Can you act
2. Read and circle
(1) Read the story quickly, and circle the sentences about Taotao’s feelings.
