1. My sister finished high school two weeks ago. 我姐姐两周前高中毕业了。
ago“以前”，指从现在说话这一刻算起的若干时间之前，常与一般过去时连用，放在表示“一段时间”的词语之后。

【辨析】ago, before
含义 例句
ago “时间段+ago” 意为“一段时间以前”，常用于一般过去时。 I met Tim two days ago. 我在两天前遇到过蒂姆。
before “before+时间点或事件”，意为“在某具体的时间/事件之前”。 Please come to see me before six o’clock. 请在六点钟以前来看我。
后接某人或地点，表示“在……的前面”。 Hedy sits before/in front of me in the classroom. 海蒂在教室里坐在我前面。

so…that… 意为“如此……以至于……”，so后面常接形容词或副词的原级，此结构引导的是结果状语从句，可与too…to…互相转换。

(1) such…that也表示“如此……以至于……”，引导结果状语从句。结构：
① such+a/an+形容词+单数可数名词+that从句

以上结构都是人做主语。

(2) surprising 表示某物或某事本身令人惊讶，物做主语或surprising在句中做定语。
