Analysis of Teaching Material The topic of this module is shopping. The type of this lesson is listening and speaking. The text mainly introduces the dialogue among Lingling, Betty and the shop worker, which presents some communicative expressions about shopping on different occasions. This course focuses on the cultivation of students’ listening and speaking ability. The content is close to students’ daily life. Teachers can carry out moral education while teaching.
Analysis of Students Students are very interested in the topic of “shopping”. Some students have mastered the key vocabulary and sentence patterns of this lesson. A small number of students have poor mastery of the expression of general questions and lack self-confidence. Therefore, flexible and diverse teaching methods suitable for students’ age characteristics should be adopted in the classroom to attract students, and teachers should strive to create a real situation and improve their interest in learning. Teachers should pay attention to the acceptance and participation of backward students in the process of listening and speaking.
