if和unless的用法
一般情况下，unless相当于if…not，可以互换。用一般现在时代替将来时。
I won’t let you in unless you show me your pass. = I won’t let you in if you don’t show me your pass.如果你不出示通行证，我就不让你进来。
如果主句描述的是情感或情绪活动方面的内容，if…not结构就不能换成unless。如：
I’ll be quite glad if she doesn’t come this evening.
她今晚如果不来我很高兴。
Unless you take more care, you’ll have an accident.
如果不多加小心的话，你会出事故的。

2. as soon as 引导的时间状语从句
I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.
（1）as soon as连接的时间状语从句中，指未发生的动作规律是：主句一般将来时，从句用一般现在时代替一般将来时。
注意：有时,为了特意表达刚刚完成某事就如何如何, 需要用现在完成时。
I will go with you as soon as I have washed my face.

2. as soon as 引导的时间状语从句
He took out his English books as soon as he sat down.
（2）指紧接着发生的两个短动作，主从句都用一般
过去时。如：
1) A 过去时 B 过去时
2) A 过去进行时 B 过去完成时(虚拟)
He was shaking with fright as if he had seen a ghost.
3) A 将来时 B 将来时(可用一般现在时表达)

“如此···以至于···”的常见表达方式：
① so + 形容词 +a/an+可数名词单数+that从句
=such+a/an+ 形容词+可数名词单数+that从句
e.g. It was so fine a day yesterday...
It was such a fine day yesterday ...
② such + 形容词+ 可数名词复数/ 不可数名词+that从句 e.g. They are such good students...
③ so + many/much/few/little +名词+that从句
e.g. There was so much work to do that everybody got bored.

so… that… 意为“如此……以至于”，常用于结果状语从句，表示上文动作所产生的结果，故空格处应用so…that。前后句时态，要保持一致。
