a.原级即原形，如big(大）。
b.比较级表示 “ 较… ” 或 “ 更… 一
些 ” 的意思。
如: bigger（更大）
c.最高级表示 “最…”的意思。
如: biggest（最大）２. 形容词的比较级和最高级的用法
a. 两种人或事物进行比较时, 用
“形容词比较级 + than”。
The sun is bigger than the moon.
This cake is more delicious than

形容词比较级可用much, still, a
little, even等词来修饰。 ３.形容词最高级的用法
表示三者或三者以上 ( 人或事物 )
的比较, 用最高级。最高级前面一般加
定冠词the, 后面可带短语来说明比
较的范围。
如: Mary is the youngest of the three
girls.
English is one of the most

☆形容词最高级前一般要用定冠词the，但如果形容词最高级前有物主代词或名词所有格等修饰语时，则不再用定冠词the。例如：

他是我最好的朋友。☆形容词最高级常与介词in或of短语（说明比较范围）连用。in后面是比较的范围，of后面是与主语同一类的人或物的名词或代词(比较对象)。
例如：Sam is the youngest in his class.
萨姆是他班里年龄最小的。
He is the tallest of these boys.
他是这些男孩中个子最高的。
☆形容词最高级前可用序数词，二者共同修饰后面的名词，其结构为：the +序数词 + 形容词最高级 + 单数名词。例如：
The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.
黄河是中国的第二条长河。
☆形容词最高级前可用one of，即：one of + the + 形容词最高级 + 复数名词，表示“最……之一”。例如：
Miss Wang is one of the most popular teachers in our school.
