The world is full of amazing nature, buildings, technology and discoveries. Some are man-made and others happen naturally.
Musical roadIn Japan, there are roads that play music as cars travel over them. Grooves(沟)are carefully cut into the surface of the road. The spaces between the grooves make different music as cars touch them. The closer the grooves are, the louder the music will be.

Underground cityIn Cappadocia, Turkey, a man knocked down a wall of his home and discovered a huge underground city. It has many tunnels(隧道), rooms and wells. Thousands of shafts(通风井)bring air to even the deepest levels. The city is huge enough for 20, 000 people and their animals to live in.

A friend advised me not to choose Slovakia though he hadn't been there. Few guidebooks include the country.
However, I decided to take a trip to Eastern Slovakia. I always search for roads that are less traveled.
On the first day, I stayed in a hotel opposite a great church. Around the corner, there was a lively town center. Coffee shops were serving hot chocolate. The dumplings and snacks in restaurants were as delicious as any in Western Europe.
On the second day, I traveled to Spis Castle (城堡). It's about an hour's drive. Perhaps you've never heard of the name, but this is one of Central Europe's largest castles. Part of it was built in the 11th century. On the castle, I saw colorful fields, villages with red roofs (屋顶) and green hills. After that, I tried some local food there.
And the best was yet to come. Driving southeast, I arrived in Banska Stiavnica on the last day of my trip. It is a perfectly protected historical town. I went to a concert in a 15th-century church. At the town center, local people were celebrating a traditional festival. There were traditional shows and teaching of making dumplings. It was the most enjoyable moment of my trip.
Old towns, natural beauty, great castles and food-all at affordable prices and with no tourist crowds. Maybe it's time to rewrite the guidebooks.

B. “Think twice before acting. You'd better not go there.”
C. “A man is never too old to learn. You should read more books.”
D. “Actions speak louder than words. You need to write a guidebook yourself.”

Once a traveller wanted to go across a desert. He had walked in the desert for two days without any water. He was exhausted(筋疲力尽的) from walking. When he felt hopeless, he suddenly found a small house. He pulled his tired body inside. This was a small airless house and in the corner he discovered a water pump(抽水机).
He was so excited and went forward to draw(抽取)water, but no water came out no matter how hard he tried. Too tired to do anything more, he fell to the ground. Then he saw a small bottle. On the bottle, there was a note, which read, “You must pour the water from the bottle into the pump before you draw water! Don't forget, before you leave, refill the bottle with water!” He opened the bottle and found it was filled with water! He was so happy.
At that moment he thought, “It might be a little selfish(自私的), but as long as I drink the water in the bottle, I can be sure to leave this desert alive! However, if I do as the note says and pour the only water into the pump and no water comes out, I will die of thirst. Should I take the risk or not?” It was five minutes later that he chose to pour the only water into the pump and began to draw water. After a minute, water started to come out! He made the right choice.
After he had drunk enough water, he refilled the bottle. He added the following words after the note: Before you get something, you should first learn to pay.
