第一节、阅读选择(30分)
A
Do you want to live a happy and healthy life Try laughing for no reason (理由) at all. That’s how thousands of people start their day at Laughter Clubs around the world, and many doctors now think that having a good laugh may be a very good way to stay healthy.
Dr Madan Kataria started the first Laughter Club in India, in 1995. “Young children laugh about 300 times a day. Adults (成年人) laugh between 7 and 15 times a day,” says Dr Kataria. “Everyone is good at laughing from the day they were born—it’s the language everyone knows. We want people to feel happy with their lives.” There are now about 500 Laughter Clubs in India and over 1,300 all over the world.
Many doctors are also interested in the advantages of laughter on our health. A 5-year study at the UCLA School of Medicine (医学) in California shows that with laughing, people don’t feel so stressful (有压力的). Laughter is able to make ill people turn out to be healthy.
So, what happens at a Laughter Club I went to a club near my home to find out. I was very nervous at the beginning of the class, and I didn’t like the idea of laughing with a group of strangers, and I was worried about looking too funny. Our laughter teacher told us to clap (拍手) our hands and say “ho ho ho, ha ha ha...” when we were looking at each other. In fact, our bodies can’t tell the difference between real and not real laughter. Both of them can help us keep healthy.
Surprisingly, it works! After ten minutes everybody in the room was laughing for real and some people just couldn’t stop! At the end of the class, I was surprised by how happy and comfortable I felt. So when you’re under stress, just start laughing. As Dr Kataria says, “When you laugh, you change and the world changes around you.”
26.What can we learn from Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 2

Schools in China are using robots to check students for signs of COVID-19. Before entering the classroom, the robot checks the children’s temperature and scans their face for signs of illness. But China’s schools aren’t the only places using robots during the outbreak. Robots are being used in many places around the world.
Hospitals are using robots to send medicine to patients with COVID-19, and to bring blood samples to laboratories. Some robots clean up the hospital rooms and spray disinfectant(喷洒消毒剂).
Tommy, a robot nurse at a hospital in Italy, stands next to the beds of some patients with COVID-19. Tommy measures the patients’ blood pressure and lets patients use its tablet to communicate with doctors and nurses remotely. Hospital robots help reduce the amount of direct contact doctors and nurses have with COVID-19 patients.
In the US and UK, robots send food and other necessary things to people in quarantine(隔离区). In Dubai, robots travel around the city spraying disinfectant. And a robot dog in Singapore reminds people in parks to “Please stand at least one metre apart!”
In Tokyo, Japan, robots even helped out at a virtual graduation. A few robots — with tablets for faces — attended the graduation ceremony in place of the graduates. The graduates watched the ceremony from home, using Zoom, a video-conferencing program. When a graduate was called up to receive their diploma(毕业证书), their face appeared on a robot’s tablet. When the robot rolled over to receive the diploma, the graduate was there to accept it virtually!
What’s another advantage of using robots in the fight against COVID-19 When robots run out of power and stop working, you just recharge them and send them back to work! They can work for longer time than human beings and never feel tired.
29 According to the passage, what do robots do in China
A. They teach children in schools.
B. They send medicine to patients in hospitals.

Exercise helps to keep us in good health. Many people have an exercise routine. They exercise for a few minutes every day or every other day. Getting basic exercise is easy.
But what about those times when you are sick If you do not feel well, should you keep following your exercise routine Will physical activity help you to feel better more quickly or will it make the healing process longer
Edward R. Laskowski is a doctor. He notes that “Proper physical activity is usually OK if you have a common cold.”
Dr. Laskowski and other experts have a general rule about exercising when you are sick. It is usually fine to exercise,he explains,if your symptoms (症状) are all “above the neck”. These signs may include a runny (流年涕的) nose, nasal congestion (鼻塞) , sneezing or a minor (轻微的) sore throat.
In fact, Laskowski adds that exercise may make you feel better and help you to breathe more easily.
The American health website WebMD offers similar advice.
Geralyn Coopersmith is a physical fitness trainer who has written several books on exercise and nutrition. Coopersmith told WebMD.”The general rule is that if you take some medicine and don’t feel so sick ,it’s OK to work out.
However, both Coopersmith and Dr. Laskowski suggest taking a break from exercising if signs of your illness appear “below the neck”. Be careful about symptoms such as extreme coughs or pain in the stomach.
If you don’t feel too bad, these experts both suggest cutting back on the intensity (强度) of your exercise routine. For example, if you usually run, take a quick walk instead.
You can return to your usual intensity when you feel better. However, Dr. Laskowski warns that exercising when you have more than a common cold could lead to “more serious injury or illness”.
33.When should patients stop exercising according to Dr. Laskowski
A.When they have some pain in the stomach. B.When they have a common cold.
C.When they have some pain in their eyes. D.When they just feel a little tired.
34.What should we do when we don’t feel very bad
A.Stop exercising for a few days. B.Cut back on the intensity of our exercise routine.
C.Keep exercising as usual. D.Try to exercise as much as possible.
35.What will happen when people who catch a bad cold continue exercising
A.It can make the patients get better slowly. B.It will be good for the illness.
C.It can cause more serious injury or illness. D.It can stop the nasal congestion.

A.How can you keep healthy B.Can exercise help patients feel better
