1、知识目标
①. 能正确理解故事内容，有感情地朗读故事。
②. 通过学习，学生能用词汇Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Taipei, Ocean Park, Disneyland, how long, go back to来谈论他们的暑期计划。
③. 通过学习，学生能用句型Will you … 及其回答Yes, I will./No, I won’t.、Where/When/How Long/What/Who/How will you … 及其回答I’ll/We’ll …来谈论他们的暑期计划。
2、能力目标
①. 在故事教学中，培养学生的听说读写能力，并着重培养学生的英语自主阅读能力。
②. 学生在学习了Story time后，能根据关键词来复述故事，同时能用will的特殊疑问句和一般疑问句谈论他们的暑期计划，锻炼学生的英语综合语用能力。
③. 能够根据所学文本知识来谈论自己的暑假计划或者向同学推荐自己曾经游览过的名胜景点。
3、情感目标
①. 通过文本的拓展学习让学生注意游览之礼，从小做一名文明的旅游者。
②. 激发学生对美好生活的向往和热爱，形成正确的人生观。
三、Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty 教学重点和难点
教学重点：能正确理解故事内容，有感情地朗读故事，并能用词汇和句型来谈论他们的暑期计划。
教学难点：学生能will的特殊疑问句和一般疑问句谈论自己的暑期计划。
四、Teaching procedures 教学过程
Step 1 Free talk
T: Hello, boys and girls. Today we’ll learn Unit 7 Summer holiday plans. Summer holiday is an interesting topic. What do you want to talk about
S: I am going to …. I will… I can…. I want to….
T: Where will you go…. Will you….. (板书)
S: …Yes, I will. / No, I won’t.
【设计意图：直接谈论summer holiday这一感兴趣的话题，让学生谈谈这个令人向往的假期打算，在此过程中引出本课的重点句型，为下文的学习打下铺垫。】
Step 2 Pre-reading tasks
T: I like going travelling in the summer holiday. Here are some famous tourist attractions. Do you know them Let’s have a look.
S: Enjoy some beautiful scenics (呈现图片)
T: Teach: Disneyland Ocean park Hong Kong
Play a game: You’ll find in
T: These are good places for travelling. Where will you go… I’ll go….Will you go… Yes, I will. No, I won’t.
Ss: Look at the pictures, use the sentences pattern to ask and answer in pairs.
【设计意图：通过著名的旅游景点图片，激发学生想外出旅游的欲望，进而为他们谈论下一步的假期出行计划创设了情境，为小组内的句型操练提供了素材。】
Step 3 While-reading tasks
1.T: (教师展示四幅图片) Look! Our friends are talking about their summer holiday plans too. Where will they go for the Summer holiday Watch the cartoon, match and say
S: …will go to…for the holiday.
【设计意图：让学生带着问题去观看课文动画，在观看中进行思考和寻找答案，通过连线和说出每个人的去处，既增加了对文本的了解，又进行了语言训练。】
2. T: Now we know they will go to different places in the summer holiday. Let’s guess: how do they go there
S: Will…go to…by… Yes, he/she will. No, he/she won’t.
【设计意图：通过让学生猜测他们的出行方式，一来是训练学生为出行选择合适的交通工具，二来是训练句型Will…go to…by… 及其回答】
3. Pair work: Read the story and try to find the answers, what will they do there
(Discuss in groups and then check the answers.)
【设计意图：通过读文本，再次深入了解他们的假期计划，利用自行先读、划下重点，小组讨论交流，指名汇报等方式，整体的感知文本。】
4. Listen and read after the tape.
5. Choose one way to read.
6. Help Mike complete his summer holiday palns.
Step 4 Post-reading tasks
1. T: Choose one topic and try to say:
①. Where will you go for this summer holiday
②. Introduce a good place that you have ever been to there.
Ss: Talk about in groups and then show us his/her plans.
【设计意图：这个环节设计2个话题，一个是谈谈自己的暑假计划，准备去哪个地方，另一个是向大家推荐自己去过的地方，介绍一下当地的美景及给自己留下深印象的地方，学生选择自己感兴趣的话题，绘上图并写上文字，图文并茂地进行介绍，既激发了兴趣，又达到了运用本课所学英语知识去做事情的能力。】
