A festival invitation

Lead-in
Traditionally people send written invitations for formal events such as weddings. Similarly, these invitations are answered in writing. For more informal events, however, spoken invitations are more common.
Remember to arrive on time if you accept an invitation. Depending on regional customs, it may be acceptable to be 15 to 30 minutes late. It is not advisable to be early, as the host may not be ready.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
It is a parade sponsored by Macy’s Department Store that takes place annually on Thanksgiving Day. It started in 1924 and lasts for 3 hours each year. Over 10,000 people dress as clowns, cowboys and knights with the company of floats (decorated vehicles in the parade花车). This parade is a huge celebration that attracts millions of audiences on television broadcast.
