Making PPT slides about a festival
教学目标
By the end of this section, students will be able to:
1. make PPT slides about a festival through cooperation and exploration;
2. present the PPT slides about a festival in groups;
3. evaluate and comment on their PPT slides.

2. To evaluate and comment on the PPT slides.

Preparation
Step 1 The teacher presents different Chinese and Western festivals on PPT and asks students the following question: Which festival do you know the best or like the most Why The teacher encourages students to choose a festival to research. 聚焦国内外节日活动，引导学生选取PPT制作内容。 5’ Individual work
Step 2 Students focus on the ideas given and research the festival they choose. Students exchange their ideas in groups and determine the most important and valuable ideas about making the PPT and write them down. 帮助学生有效获取和处理相关信息，为学生搭建学习支架，为后续提取和运用信息做好内容上的准备。 5’ Group work

Step 3 The teacher presents the tips of Making PPT slides and lets students read silently. To make good PPT slides, you should: highlight the most important content and not put too much information on one slide; use letters of different sizes and colours to bring your slides to life; include pictures, charts, sound effects and videos where necessary. 通过学习PPT制作中的注意事项，帮助学生理解PPT的特征，提升学生的应用文文体意识，并为后面的输出做好铺垫。 5’ Individual work Group work
Step 4 Students make the PPT slides in groups according to the tips. 学生通过小组合作，初步完成PPT设计与制作，培养团队协作能力。通过与他组PPT的比较，让学生反思并修改自己的作品，培养学生批判性的思维品质。 15’ Group work
