教学目标
1. 语言知识与技能目标: 1) 复习本单元所学的动物的名称以及描述动物的形容词。 2) 能正确运用所学的相关知识描述动物,表达自己的喜好。 3)通过听、说、读、写不同方式来表达自己的喜好及描述不同的动物。 2. 情感态度价值观目标:动物和人类都生活在同一地球上,动物是我们的朋友。我们人类应该与动物和谐相处。学会关爱动物,保护动物。认识到爱护动物就是爱护人类自己。
教学内容
教学重点: 1. 能根据相关提示词来描述动物的特性及来自哪里。
2. 能运用自己所学的知识来描述一些自己熟悉的动物。 3. 通过做不同形式的练习来熟练运用本单元所学的知识。 教学难点: 运用自己所学的相关知识来介绍或描述某个动物。
教学过程
Step1: Warming- up and lead-in Watch a video and say the animals you see. Step 2: Pre-writing Activity one: Looking and guessing 1、Look at the pictures and tell what animals they are. 2、Guess game One student tries to act out or tells something about a kind of animals, the other students try to guess what animal it is. Activity two: Thinking and concluding 1、Show some pictures on the big screen and introduce the animals you like or don’t like and explain why. 2、Conclude the description words can be used to describe the animals. Activity three:Talking Make a conversation about the animals you like or don’t like with your partner. Step 3:While-writing Activity one: Read and complete the blanks. 1. T: Becky is Jill's favorite animal. Fill in the blanks with the words in the box. 2. Students read and fill in the blanks. 3. Check the answers and learn the outline of how to describe an animal. 4. Explain "Isn’t she beautiful " Activity two: Group work(Being a guide) Now one of you is a tour guide. Tell something about your favorite animals. Work in groups of six. Activity three: Watching, thinking and writing 1、Watch a video about animals. 2、Think about why some animals are in great danger. 3、Write a letter to ask for help. Step 4:Post-writing 1、Share your writing with your group members. 2、Make comments. 3、Rewrite and polish your writing. Step5:Summary Step 6: Homework 1. Read the excellent articles written by your classmates and learn about the writing skills. 2. Finish the exercises in Self Check. 3. Write a letter to reply your animal friend.(选做)
