本单元以“街区”为话题，主要谈论问路与指路，要求同学们学会帮助别人。具体到本单元书面表达中，要求同学们会指路，会正确清楚地表达到某地的路线。同时，也要求同学们能简单介绍自己所居住的社区，熟练掌握there be句型的相关用法及一些表示方位的介词(短语)的用法，并能将这些知识应用到书面表达中去。

单元常见错误诊断
病号1：There are some trees in_the_front_of house.
【处方】in the front of和in front of都可表示“在……前面”。但前者表示在某物内部的前面，后者表示在某物外部的前面。故原句中的in the front of应改为in front of。
病号2：Are there some restaurants near here
【处方】some意为“一些”，常用于肯定句，变否定句或疑问句时，some要改为any。故原句中的some应改为any。
病号3：There are a pen and two books in the bag.
【处方】在there be句型中，主语由两个或两个以上的名词构成时，be动词的形式要遵循就近原则，即与最近的名词保持一致。故原句中的are应改为is。

【处方】在英语中，修饰动词要用副词形式。故原句中的easy应改为easily。
