Unit 7 I’m not afraid.
Period 1
1、学情分析
六年级的学生已经接触了三年多的英语,有一定的学习基础。而且高年级同学相对年龄大一些,知道自觉预习。有关情绪、情感的单词,如happy曾在三年级上册第十二单元学过,hungry曾在四年级上册第五单元学过,sad,angry,excited曾在五年级上册学过,结合本课时的学习可以达到复习巩固的目的。
2、教材分析
本单元的话题为情感与情绪(Feelings and moods),是与学生日常生活紧密相关的话题。随着年龄的增长,学生的情感越来越丰富,会有各种不同的的情绪。通过本课时的学习,让学生学会表达自己的情感与情绪,及说明产生的原因;当别人遇到困难时,学会关心、帮助他人;通过与他人情感交流,来分享自己的情感与情绪,并从身边的同伴处获得正能量,知道困难并不可怕,一切都会好起来的。

四、教学目标
(一)知识目标
1.词汇:
(1)能听懂、会说、认读、会写新单词afraid,tired,difficult,clever。
(2)能听懂、会说、认读词汇和短语monster,close,worry,still,kid,later on。
2.句型:能用“I’m ( not)...”在实际情境中表达自己的感受。
(二)能力目标
1.能用“I’m ( not)...”在实际情境中表达自己的情感与情绪;
2.能用简单的语句表达产生情感与情绪的原因;
3.能在正确的情境下用英语“Don’t worry.You’re still a kid.You’ll be better later on.”来安慰他人。
4.能听懂、会说A部分对话。
(三)情感目标
1.通过学习,学生能够简单表达自己的情感与情绪以及产生的原因。
2.通过学习,学生能够在交谈中用正确的话语安慰他人。
五、教学重、难点
1.重点:能听懂、会说、认读、会写新单词afraid,tired,difficult,clever;能用“I’m (not)...”来表达自己的感受。
2.难点:能在正确的情境下用英语“Don’t worry.You’re still a kid.You’ll be better later on.”来安慰他人。

Step 1 Warming up
1. Greetings
T:Hello,boys and girls.Nice to meet you!How are you

(亲切熟悉的问候语言,瞬间拉近师生间的距离,有助于教学互动。)
2. T:I’m so happy to see you, lovely children,before our class,let’s sing a song---The More We Get Together
(教师和学生一起边唱边做动作,既可以起到示范作用,又可以活跃课堂气氛。)
3. Revision
T:Now,let’s play a game!---Let’s guess!

Step 2 Presentation
1. New words
(1)monster 、afraid、afraid of
T:Boys and girls,I’m hungry now.Look at the monster(出示PPT图片并分音节带读),it’s hungry,too.The monster wants to catch and eat us,so I’m afraid,I’m afraid of the monster.(教师做出害怕的样子,出示PPT单词图片、板书并教读单词afraid)
造句:I’m____.
区分:afraid与 afraid of的用法
造句:____afraid of____.
T:Look at the monster here!Are you afraid Are you afraid of it
S1:Yes,I’m afraid.I’m afraid of it.
S2:No,I’m not afraid.I’m not afraid of it.
(板书课题:Unit 7 I’m not afraid!)
T:What are you afraid of
S1:I’m afraid of dogs.

S3:I’m afraid of snakes.

(强调dogs,cats snakes应该用复数)
(2)tired
T:Hello,S1.How are you
S1:I’m fine,thank you.And you
T:I’m not very well.I’m tired.I went to bed too late last night.(出示PPT单词图片,板书并教读单词)
T:Who can act out“tired”?

T:Are you tired today
S1:Yes,I’m tired.
T:Do you want to sleep
S1:Yes.
T:But you shouldn’t sleep in the class.Maybe you can go to bed early tonight.It’s good for your healthy.
(3)difficult
(PPT出示一张孩子正在思考难题的图片)
T:What is the boy doing
S1:He is reading a book.
T:How does he feel Is he happy
S1:No,he is sad.
S2:He is angry.
S3:He is tired.
T:Why Because this is too difficult.(出示PPT单词图片,板书并教读单词)
T:I think math is difficult.But I’m not afraid of it.How about you
S1:English is difficult.I’m afraid of it.
T:Don’t worry.You’re still a kid.You’ll be better later on.
(通过师生交谈,让学生在真实的语境中体会理解“Don’t worry.You’ll be better later on.”的含义,提前感知课文,学会安慰与关爱他人。)
(4)clever
T:look at the screen here.Who’s he He got 100 marks in the last English exam.I think Peter is very clever.(出示PPT图片,板书并教读单词)
T:Can you guess the meaning of “clever”
S:聪明的。
T:Wonderful!You are so clever.
(5)词汇、句型操练

(出示PPT,看看哪张图片不见了)
②Let’s guess and act out.
(出示PPT,根据首字母快速说单词并演出来)

(出示PPT,有节奏的说出单词和句型)
2. The dialogue
(1)Listen and answer
(不打开书,听课文录音,回答问题。)

4. A:This is not difficult.
B:This is too difficult.
5. A:Dongdong is afraid of difficulties,and he is not clever.
B:Dongdong is not afraid of difficulties,but he is not clever.
(注意区分difficulty与difficult)
(3)Listen and read after the computer.
(跟着视频朗读课文,模仿纯正的语音、语调。)
(4)Listen and read in roles.
(分角色朗读课文,增加课堂趣味性)
Step 3 Practice
T:This time,please work in groups.You can express your and others’ feelings and emotions,you can use the words:happy 、sad、angry excited、hungry、afraid、tired 、difficult、clever and so on.
T:Now, let’s have a PK!Which group can say the most sentences in 30 seconds, Which group can get this beautiful crown!
