◆教学情景导入
1. Greetings.
2. Act the dialogue in Lesson59.
3. Lead in by showing the students some pictures of “sand, beach, aunt, uncle”, ask the students to remember the words and use them to make sentences.
◆教学过程设计
Step 1 Presentation
1. Look at the pictures in the students’ books. Talk about the pictures.
Teacher: What will Jenny do for the summer holiday
Students: She will swim in the sea, lie on the beach and make a sand animal.
Teacher: What will Danny do for the summer holiday
Students: He will look at the beautiful flowers in the park and pick some for his mother.
Teacher: What does Jenny say
Students: You can’t pick the flowers in the park.
2. Took out the pictures of “ sand and beach”, ask them to practice them in the drills.
Teacher: This is sand.
Student: This is sand.
Teacher: There is sand on a beach.
Students: There is sand on the beach.
Teacher: I like to play on the beach.
Students: I like to play on the beach.
Teacher: I’m making something with sand.
Students: I’m making something with sand.
Step 2: Listen and read
Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books. Then ask the students read after.
Step 3: Act
1. Practice the dialogue by themselves.
2. Ask volunteers to act the dialogue.
Step 4: Make similar dialogues
Work in small groups. Ask the students to make similar dialogues about other subjects.
Step 5: Let’s sing a summer song
1. Show a pair of sandals and draw a picture to show the meaning of deep.
Teacher: Look! This is a pair of sandals. I will wear my sandals and go to the beach.
This is a river. It’s deep. Deep. The river is deep.
2. Drill.
Teacher: When school is done, what will you do
Students: When school is done, what will you do
Teacher: The ocean there is very deep.
Students: The ocean there is very deep.

3. Listen to the audiotape.
4. Learn the song line by line.
5. Sing together.
