(2021·重庆八中第一次全真模拟)Have you ever heard of Parura It's a faraway mountainous county in Africa. For centuries, Parura's culture remains unchanged. There was no real industry. There were no schools, no electricity, and hardly any cars. Most of the people had small farms. By the standard of other countries, the people there were quite poor but they had enough to live and they lived in peace.
Then the tourists came. There were only small groups at first, but then words of this beautiful land spread. The tourists couldn't stand living in primitive(原始的) conditions so the first hotels were built in Parura. The hotels were followed by bars and shops. Then the government built roads so that cars could pass. The government needed to educate people for these new industries so schools were built and the decision was taken to educate children in English, the language of industry and tourism instead of the local language.
Some of the Parurian people become quite rich, but the families who still work on the farms are left behind. Sometimes the tourists travel out of Parura to see these primitive people in their strange costumes. They take photos of them or film them with video cameras just like they are making a wildlife documentary. Some of these farmers in Parura feel sorry about their rural(农村的) culture and move to find work in the tourism industry. But there isn't enough work for everyone, so you find homeless people on the streets, begging tourists to have photos with them and getting some poor money in return.

Ⅳ.短文填空
(2021·重庆璧山期末)When I was 12, something that happened to me changed my interest. We lived near a wood and 1 sang beautifully in the trees every evening. I wanted to catch a bird and keep it in a cage(笼子) so that I can have my own singer.
I did get one and put it in my cage. I felt very happy and looked 2 to some beautiful songs from it. On the next day, its mother flew to the cage with food. The baby bird 3 everything. I was happy to see this. Surely the mother knew 4 her baby liked better than me.
The next morning, I found the baby bird dead. What was wrong I took good care of the bird. Arthur Wayne told me the reason. “A mother bird, finding her baby in a cage, will sometimes bring it some poisonous(有毒的) strawberries. 5 she thinks it is 6 for it to die than to live in a cage.”
Never since then have I caught any living birds or 7 them in a cage. It made me know 8 the rules in nature sometimes means everything to the living things.
