一般过去时（1）：be动词的过去式

定义 表示过去某一时间所发生的动作或存在的状态
时间状语 （1）yesterday, yesterday morning / afternoon / evening, the day before yesterday等 （2）last+时间（如last week） （3）时间段+ago（如two months ago） （4）in+过去的时间（in 2020） （5）in the past

构成 主语+was / were+其他.（am, is的过去式是was；are的过去式是were）
句式 肯定句：主语+ was / were+其他. Yesterday I was late.昨天我迟到了。
否定句：主语+ was not (wasn't) / were not (weren't)+其他. Yesterday I wasn't late. 昨天我没有迟到。

句式 一般疑问句：Was / Were+主语+ 其他 肯定回答：Yes, 主语+was / were. 否定回答：No, 主语+wasn't / weren't. —Were you late yesterday 昨天你迟到了吗？
—Yes, I was. / No, I wasn't. 是的，我迟到了。/ 不，我没迟到。
特殊疑问句：特殊疑问词+一般疑问句？ Why were you late yesterday？你昨天为什么迟到？
【注意】there be 句型的一般过去时态为“there was / were …”。如：
There were two stores in our school a few years ago. 几年前我们学校有两家商店。
否定句： There weren't two stores in our school a few years ago. 几年前我们学校没有两家商店。
一般疑问句： Were there two stores in your school a few years ago 几年前你们学校有两家商店吗？
肯定回答： Yes, there were. 是的，有。
否定回答： No, there weren't. 不，没有。
特殊疑问句：How many stores were there in your school a few years ago 几年前你们学校有多少家商店？
以上总结的是be动词的过去式，其他动词的过去式将在以后的模块中讲到。
