一、教学目标Teaching goals:
(一)知识与技能:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 掌握以下单词:dirty, bottom, fisherman, coal, wooden, plastic, ugly, recycle and so on
2)掌握短语:be harmful to, throw away, take part in, turn off, take action and so on
3) 语法:To use the grammar such as Present Continuous Tense, used to, Passive voice, Present Perfect and Modal Verbs correctly.
2. 技能目标:
熟练运用所学知识,就环境污染问题发表自己的观点;能读懂有关环保等方面的文章;并学会书写有关环保方面的短文。
(二)过程与方法: aims of procedure and approach
I use competition, discussion, debate methods to make students take an active part in activities in class, and to develop the students’ ability to learn autonomously and cooperatively.
通过小组比赛、小组讨论、微型辩论等方式,激发学生主动积极参与课堂教学活动,培养竞争意识,培养学生的自主学习能力和合作学习能力。
(三)情感态度价值观目标:aims of emotion and attitude
1) Students can realize the importance of protecting the environment further through the review.
2) Advocating people to save the earth, and start from around things.

2) 增强环保意识并倡导我们从身边的小事做起,拯救地球母亲。
二、教学重难点(Teaching content, Teaching Important Points, Teaching Difficult Points)
1.本课的教学内容:主题式单元复习课——Save the earth!
The topic of this lesson is about “Save the earth!”. The lesson is divided into four parts. They are “The pollution you know”、 “Solution”、”Expand space”、”Challenge yourself”. And “Solution” includes discussion、debate、watching a video.
2. 教学重点Teaching Important Points:
Grasp the useful words and expressions.
3. 教学难点Teaching Difficult Points:
Learn to talk about pollution and environmental protection.
三、学情分析Analysis of students
1.This lesson is to review the topic “Save the earth!” of Unit 13 in Grade 9. The Students have learned the new words of this unit.
2.Students know the pollution around them, and some of them have already do things to protect the environment. But the students seldom communicate with others in English after English class, so I try to create a good atmosphere in my class for students to practise English more.
3. The students usually learn English by reciting words, reading passages, sometimes they discuss with their partners.
4. The students are used to having individual work and group work.
1.学生已有的知识:本节课为九年级第十三单元的主题式复习课, 学生已经在新授课中学习了单词及课文,对话题内容有一定的了解和认识;
2. 学生已有的经验:学生可以感受到身边的污染,他们中的一些已经开始着手一些事情来保护环境;但是他们除了英语课堂很少用英语交流,所以我尽量为学生创设良好的氛围让学生多说英语。
3.学生的学习方式:背单词、朗读课文,偶尔会和同学讨论问题
4. 学生学习习惯:Individual work, group work.
四、教学方法: Teaching methods and learning methods
(1)Teaching methods : Situational Teaching Method, Task-based Language Teaching Method, Cooperative Teaching Method
(2)Learning Methods: competition, task-based learning method and cooperative learning method. I think these methods are beneficial to their English learning.
五、教学模式: The teaching pattern
I use the teaching pattern, which guides students to finish the students’ handouts individually or in groups before class. In class, I’ll use a computer-platform to direct the students to work out the important and difficult points about the topic, helping them master the important points, difficult points and the reading skills. And I would provide more opportunities for students to practice what they have learned, and to develop their autonomous learning ability and cooperative learning ability.

(一)Step I. Lead-in (2 minutes)
Show the beautiful pictures of our school on the screen.

Then show another picture about the rubbish to students.
T: It is a kind of pollution.
设计目的:以本校美丽的照片引入,制造熟悉感,再以教室里面的垃圾的图片进行鲜明的对比,让同学们意识到其实污染就在身边。
预期效果:学生的注意力集中到污染这个话题上,为保护环境、拯救地球这个话题做好铺垫。
(二)Step II. Presentation (4 minutes)
T: What kind of pollution do you know
Ask the students to answer the question.
Then present four kinds of pollution. And fill in the blanks.
设计目的:结合自身的对污染的了解,并回忆复习相关话题词汇及短语,快速回答问题。
预期效果:通过语境复习重点词汇及短语,老师改变了孤立地讲授知识的模式,学生学习起来不枯燥而感到有趣,积极举手发言。
(三)Step III. Discussion (9 minutes)
1. Talk about the ways to solve the pollution with your partner, then write them down.
Share with your classmates.
2. Do the exercise.
设计目的:通过小组讨论解决污染的方法,与同学分享彼此的想法,尽可能最大限度地感受到知识的宽度和广度;通过前期相关知识的铺垫,插入中考真题链接,学生自主分析讲解题目,让学生及时地感受到挑战自我的满足感和成就感。
预期效果:学生通过小组合作竞争学习,调动学生学习的积极性,培养学生的合作意识和竞争意识;
(四)Step IV. Debate (15 minutes)
Our Environment in Ten Years: for Better or Worse
Discuss with your partner first. You can discuss it according to the mind map.
Ask some pairs of students to have a debate.
设计目的:通过微型辩论这一活动的创设,让学生积极参与讨论,学生能根据所学知识流利地表达自己的观点及理由。善学、善思、会考,同时也注重语言运用能力的训练。
预期效果:随机组队(正方、反方),感受现场兴奋的气氛,学生大胆展现自我,进一步体验学习英语、运用英语做事的无穷乐趣。
(五)Step V. Consolidation (3 minutes)

设计目的:小视频选自今年最热门的电影之一《流浪地球》片段,与社会生活接轨,提高学生学习英语的兴趣。从这个小视频学到什么?再次巩固主题——Save the earth!紧接着提问:在你的日常生活中,从现在起你会做什么来拯救地球?具体到个人,增强个人环保意识并倡导从身边的小事做起,拯救地球母亲。
预期效果:通过这节课的学习,同学们纷纷表态自己日常生活中将会做的事情,并且不放弃,坚持到底,将保护环境、拯救地球母亲的责任牢记于心,为绿水青山作出自己的贡献!

预期效果:学会带着问题快速阅读文章、理解文章内容和文章的篇章结构及写作目的,让学生掌握快速阅读的方法和技巧,从而提高阅读能力。
(七)Step VII. Writing (3minutes)
Write a composition about the pollution and environmental protection.
Students can write the composition according to the frame on the blackboard.
设计目的:引导学生如何写好作文——构好框架,列好提纲;这节课最终落成在写作方面。其实作文的框架已经体现在板书上。带领学生根据板书框架一起组织句子,组成一篇作文。
预期效果:学生轻松地掌握写好一篇文章的方法;能回归主题,找出主题中的重要知识点,并注重相关写作手法,运用到写作中,提高学生的写作能力。
(八)Step VIII. Homework (1 minutes)
1.Write the composition.
2. Finish Topic 17 in the exercise book.
设计目的:这节课最终落成在写作方面,学生根据课堂所教方法书写作文;并完成“世界与环境”这个话题的练习,让学生体会到学以致用的快乐。
预期效果:学生自我小结本节课所学内容,强化本课重点,提高学生的学习效率。

设计目的: 板书过去与现在环境的对比,存在的问题与解决方案,倡导大家参与到环保中,从现在做起。串起一条文章线,也就是作文的框架。
预期效果:学生能意识到书写作文前构好框架、列好提纲的重要性,并能准确把握本课的重点,提高学习效率。
九、教学反思:
本节课以“拯救地球”为主题,通过图片展示、抢答、小组竞赛、小组讨论、微型辩论的方式,引导学生对话题的复习,加深对话题相关内容的理解、归纳。改变了传统的孤立地讲授知识的模式,创设了鲜活的语境,将语境、语义和语用结合起来。在此过程中,学生的各项语言能力得到了训练,综合语言运用能力得到了提升。并且在课堂上最大限度地激发了学生从自我做起,保护环境、拯救地球母亲的强烈愿望。
然而,受到课堂45分钟的限制,显得这节课的教学容量稍大,如果作文部分能够在课堂上书写并作及时地指导,相信教学效果会更好。

When people talk about air pollution, they usually think of smog, acid rain(酸性雨),and other forms(形式) of outdoor air pollution. But did you know that air pollution also is inside homes, offices, hotels and other buildings?Indoor air pollution is more serious.
