【辨析】look like与be like
2. Does Sally have long or short hair？
此句为选择疑问句，提出两种或两种以上的情况并对它做出判断或选择。句型结构为：一般疑问句 ＋ or ＋ 另一备选对象。选择疑问句不能用 yes 或 no 来回答，只能根据实际情况作答。
选择疑问句中，or 前面的部分读升调，后面的部分读降调。
例：—Do you like English or math？
你喜欢英语还是数学？
—I like English.
我喜欢英语。
3. Yeah, but I may be a little late.
(1)may be 意为“可能(是)；也许(是)”。may be中may是情态动词，be是动词原形，两者一起构成谓语动词。
例：My pen may be in your bag.我的钢笔也许在你的包里。
(2)a little 意为“一点；少量”，修饰形容词/副词或不可数名词。
例：There is a little water in that glass. 那个杯子里有一点水。
【易混辨析】may be与 maybe
may be may是情态动词， be是动词原形，两者构成完整的谓语形式，意为“也许是；可能是”。
maybe 是副词，意为“也许；可能”，在句中作状语，常位于句首。
I can’t find my book in the schoolbag. It may be in my drawer.
我在书包里没有找到我的书，它可能在我的抽屉里。
Maybe she is sleeping in the room. 她可能在房间里睡觉。
【辨析】a little与little
