1. Turn the lights off. You might not pay the electric bill, but you know that the lamp (or TV, stereo, or laptop) costs money to operate. You can not only save money, but also reduce (减少) pollutants that are released (释放) in the process.
2. Ride your bike or walk instead of driving (or being driven). Automobiles are one of the primary causes of air pollution. It is much more fuel efficient (节能高效). It’s also good for your health.

1. Buy eco-friendly (对生态环境友好的) products. Seek out products that do not test on animals and do not contain chemicals that require big CAUTION or WARNING notices on the label. There are increasing numbers of products called “natural” or “organic” available.
2. Carry a shopping bag and reusable water bottle. They don’t take up much space but can prevent a lot of waste. To save our world, it’s our responsibility to take useful measures to protect the environment. First of all, we should let more people know the importance of environmental protection. We’re supposed to save water and energy in our daily life. We can begin with turning off lights when leaving a room. Besides, in order to reduce air pollution, it’s important to go to school by bus, by bike, or on foot. What’s more, we should sort garbage. There are four categories: recyclable, harmful, dry and wet waste. When going shopping, we’d better try to use cloth bags instead of plastic bags. Finally, it is necessary to protect wild animals. No buying, no killing. In fact, even the simplest daily activities can make a real difference to the environment. In a word, we can make the world a better place to live in through our efforts.
