本节课是第八单元话题一的第二课时，继续谈论天气以及气温，主要活动是1a和2a。
通过Michael 和妈妈之间的电话对话，复习询问天气的表达法同时学习新的问候的表达方式：How are things going 以及给予建议的新表达：
Remember to put on your raincoat when you go outside; 另外通过图片和单词的配对活动，学习表示天气的形容词，并进一步掌握形容词的构词法；还将学习询问及回答气温的表达方式以及训练学生理解天气预报图，从中获取天气和气温信息的能力。

3. Write the adjective forms according to the nouns. Then try to find the rules.
4. Pair work to practice the expressions and the new words.
5. Listen to 1a and complete the table.
6. Watch the video to make sure the Ss understand the conversation.
7. Round 2. Read 1a and act it out.

1. Show a picture and present the new expressions about temperature.
2. Let the Ss complete the conversation and then listen and check the answers.
