Section C教学设计
本节课是一节阅读课，要求学生通过阅读达到以下教学效果：
1. 语言知识：
( 1 )理解和识记相关的名词：umbrella, sunglasses, shorts, travel,holiday,etc;
( 2 )掌握并熟练使用表达建议和劝导的句型：You had better /You need to /Please remember to ；
( 3 )能够掌握由形容词构成副词的规则，如：bright—brightly, sudden—suddenly；
( 4 )Talk about travel with others.
2. 语言技能：
(1) 能够听懂谈论季节和天气状况的对话和短文;
(2) 能够在图画的帮助下进行阅读，理解大意，并从阅读材料中获取所需要的信息；
(3) 能够制作旅行攻略、给他人提旅行建议并写出有关旅行建议的小短文。
(4) 能够利用教材文本进行短文仿写。
3. 情感态度：
（1） 能够和同伴积极合作，共同完成任务；
（2） 能够放眼国内外寻找美景，从而激发旅行愿望和学英语的兴趣与自信心。
4. 学习策略：
认知策略、交际策略、资源策略和调控策略。
5. 文化意识：
（1） 了解中国和英美国家天气的不同以及英美国家人喜欢谈论天气的习惯；
（2） 回归生活，引导学生热爱国家热爱家乡。
教材分析
本节课来自于Unit 8 (The Seasons and the Weather)Topic 1 (What’s the Weather like in Summer ) Section C,通过绘本阅读的方式复习旧课并导入新课，对比中西方国家天气的差异，以及在不同的天气条件下，需要准备哪些相应的物品。
教材所给资源体现为：
2 You had better know about the weather in different places in August.
②You need to take an umbrella.
③Please remember to wear warm clothes.
这样的安排虽然课堂容量较大，但是这些内容均来自于学生的日常生活经验。在实际的操作过程中，难度并没有我们想象的大。而且为学生提供了真实的语境，把较难的话题简单化。
学情分析
本节课要求学生了解中西方国家季节的差异、掌握表达建议的句型。学生目前对教师的课堂用语已能做到基本的理解，团队合作意识较强，对于所学内容也有一定的生活经验，因此教学过程进行的比较顺利。由于大多数学生局限于课本知识，生活经验和旅行经验都不是十分丰富，这就要求教师在教学过程中，多开阔学生视野，增长学生的知识储备，使学生不仅能胸怀祖国又能放眼世界。
学习目标
1. 学习新的单词和短语: had better (do), umbrella, plan to, Australia, remember, wear, sun, shorts, later on , etc.;
2. 了解中西方国家天气的差异并能据此提出旅行建议；
3. 培养学生根据图片和生活经验进行阅读理解，获取所需信息的能力；
4. 能够进行英语绘本阅读并形成小短文；
5. 培养学生的核心素养。
教学重、难点

教学过程：
Step 1. Warming up and leading in
1. Enjoy the video. China through Four Seasons.
2. Let the Ss have a free talk about the place and season for their holiday.
3. Lead to the new lesson and show the learning aims.
Step 2. Pre-reading
1. Show some pictures to teach new words and expressions.
A picture of a sunny day.
A picture of London.
Two pictures of Sydney.
2. Lead the Ss to pay attention to different clothes worn for different weather.
Step 3. While-reading
1. Fast reading. Skim(略读) the whole passage for the title（标题）.
2. Read the passage in 1a carefully and complete the tables in 1b.
3. Show the text and let the Ss read it aloud.
4. Help the Ss to retell the passage with the given key words.
5. Read 1a again and find the sentences with suggestions(建议).And understand the words brightly、suddenly.
6. Watch the video and make sure to understand it clearly.
Step 4. Post-reading
1. Do some exercises to practice the key points in 1a.
2. Let the students have a free talk.
