You must know the Olympics and the Paralympics, but have you heard of the Special Olympics World Games
Shanghai held the Special Olympics World Summer Games in 2007. Now let’s enjoy a video about it.
The Special Olympics World Games are an international sporting competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities, organized by Special Olympics.
The goal is to show the skills and accomplishments(成就;才能) of people with intellectual disabilities on a global stage.
Special Olympics World Games take place every two years and alternate between Summer and Winter Games.

The 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games are set to be held in Los Angeles, California from July 24-Aug. 2, 2015.
The first International Special Olympics Summer Games were held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, in 1968.
