一、教材分析:
本单元的核心话题为“talk about what they used to be like”,围绕着谈论过去自己和他人过去经常做的事,谈论自己和他人过去的外貌\性格\爱好。学习句型used to 为主要学习任务,并且设置任务型综合性语言实践活动,让学生在交际活动中,学会如何正确地用英语表达自己的意见和建议,重在培养学生的习得语言运用能力、实践能力、合作能力及创新意识。
二、学情分析
在学习本单元之前,本年级学生已经学习过了一些描写人物外貌的词汇和句型。对于本单元的学习,大部分学生已经有了一定的学习基础, 但由于学生自觉性差,很少能够自觉做好课前预习和课后复习,所以课前可以给些时间让他们熟悉下本节课的内容
三、教学目标
1、知识和技能目标:本单元通过对人物外貌和性格变化的描写,以used to 结构的表达为主要内容,进行多角度的练习,同时应注意对于性格,外貌的形容词的使用
2、单元重难点:通过对自己、家人及身边朋友现在和过去的比较,学习used to的用法,巩固掌握描述人物的词汇和技巧。
3、情感态度与价值观:人是不断发展变化的,我们身边的人和事都在不断变化,随着深入学习,我们也应该不断增长知识,健全自己的人格,不断去完善自己。
四、教学方法及设计意图
1.视听法:主要通过多媒体课件展示、图片展示、老师提问、学生回答等方式提供让学生看、听、说、的练习机会
2.问答法和情景交际法:用多媒体展示各种图片,让学生利用这些图片进行交流,让学生在做中学,在实践中获得信息,习得英语。
