基本概念：
过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间内正在进行或发生的动作。
基本结构：
主语+was/were + V-ing + 过去时间.
过去进行时的概念和结构
The Minions were running at seven o'clock this morning.
They were singing and dancing at Gru's birthday party yesterday .
They were playing football at this time last winter.

Task 1 : 超强大脑
一般在词尾加 ing。
以-ie结尾，先将-ie改成y，再加 ing。
动词变现在分词的规则：
以不发音的字母e结尾，先去e再加 ing。
以重读闭音节结尾，且词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写这个辅音字母，再加 ing。

过去进行时的用法
表示过去某一时刻正在进行的动作：
eg. I was drawing at that time yesterday.
表示过去某一阶段内正在进行的动作:
eg. I was reading last night.
表示一个动作发生时，另一个动作正在进行:
eg. When my mum came home, I was sleeping.
表示一个动作正在进行,另一个动作突然发生:
eg. When I was walking, it rained.
表示两个动作同时进行.
eg.While I was sweeping the floor , she was cooking,
时间状语标志：
at this （that）time +过去时间
at +过去时间点

from ...to ...+过去时间
when/while 引导的时间状语从句

when和while用法的区别：
当... 时：表示事情同时或先后发生。
when
主句的动作是持续性的(持续性动词）而从句的动作的短暂性的（短暂性动词）。
when通常与动词的一般过去时连用。
eg. I was shopping in the supermarket when I met her.
when和while用法的区别：
当... 时：表示事情相伴发生。主句的动作是短暂性的(短暂性动词）而从句的动作的持续性的（持续性动词）。
while与动词的过去进行时。
与此同时： 表示事情同时。 主语动作和从句动作都是持续性的（持续性动词）。
while
eg. He heard some nosie outside while he was playing the piano.
eg. David was singing while Daniel was playing the piano.
延续性动词
短暂性动词
指表示能够延续一段时间的动作。如：study, work, stand 等。
表示不能延续的动作,这种动作发生后立即结束。 如:open, die, close等。

when和while用法的总结：
主语 从句 eg.

过去进行时 while + 过去进行时 While Andy was waiting for the bus, he was reading a newspaper.

陈述句变否定句
eg. I was doing my homework at nine last night.
在be动词后面加not，句中some变any,and变or,too变either
I wasn't doing my homework at nine last night.

They were not talking anything when the teacher came in.
Task 6：明辨是非
把坏蛋杰克的话变成否定句
I was fishing this morning.
I was making pizzas from six to nine yesterday morning.
We were drinking and talking when Gru came in.
The minions were eating some bananas at that time.
句式转换：
陈述句变一般疑问句
eg. I was doing my homework at nine last night.
Were you doing my homework at nine last night.
eg. They were talking something when the teacher came in.
Were they talking anything when the teacher came in.
将be动词移到句首，句中第一人称变第二人称，通常some变any
Task 7：举一反三
把下面的句子变为一般疑问句

过去进行时着重描述当时正在持续进行的动作，它的特点是：暂时，持续和未完成，强调过程。
eg.I was writing a letter to my friend last night. （信不一定写完）
过去进行时 VS 过去时
一般过去时表示发生过的动作或存在的状态，即表示动作发生过，或者已经结束了，强调事实或结果。
eg. I wrote a letter to my friend last night.（信写完了）
