Lesson 18 Maddy the Monster教案
一、教材分析  
“Maddy the Monster”是冀教版小学英语四年级第三单元的一节故事课,第三单元的主题是“All about me”, 本单元已经学习询问与回答年龄、生日、身高、住址、上学方式及喜欢做的事情,与学生生活紧密联系,为培养学生运用英语进行英语交流打下良好的基础。本节课为一节故事课,围绕两个主人公Maddy和Anna的年龄、身高、住址等来创设情境,锻炼学生的阅读能力和口语交际能力。  
二、学生分析
四年级的学生通过一年半的英语的入门学习,已经积累了一定数量的词汇和语句,可以完成简单的日常对话,这就为本节课的学习奠定了一定的基础。而本节课是以一个monster为主人公展开,能充分激发学生的想象力,使其乐于表演。
三、教学目标  
1)知识目标:  
a.学生能够利用上下文、插图以及已有的知识理解故事内容,把握细节信息。
b.学生能在图片或教师帮助下表演故事。
2)能力目标  
a. 学生能够听懂和理解这个故事。  
b .学生能够就故事进行提问和回答。  
c .学生能够根据图片和图表复述这个简单的故事。  
3)情感、态度、价值观  
通过学习本课故事,激发学生读英语小故事的兴趣,增强给他人讲英语故事的自信心。  
四、教学重难点  
重点:a .复习本单元重要句型.  
b .通过读故事,提高学生的阅读及听力理解能力,培养英语学习的兴趣。  
难点:听懂并理解故事内容,并能运用所学知识进行口语交际。  
五、教具准备  
多媒体,Maddy 和Anna的头饰。
六、教学过程
Step1 Warming up (4分钟)
Greeting
T: I’m ready for class. Are you ready
S: Yes.
T: let’s begin our class.
S: Stand up . Good morning miss guo.
T: Good morning class. How are you today
S: I’m fine. Thank you. And you
T: I’m very well. Thanks. Now show me your hands. Clap, Let’s chant.
(同桌交替提问与回答)
T: OK. Very good. Sit down please.
Step2 Pre-reading: (1分钟)
谈话导入  
T: Now look here. What do you see What are they?
S: They are monsters.
T: Yes, they are monsters. Do you afraid of them
S:No.
T:Yes, they are lovely. Now today ,we are going to read a story about a lively monster. It’s name is Maddy.
T:let’s read the title. Maddy the monster. Do you want to know more about Maddy What do you want to know about Maddy Do you have any questions about it
T:Now, I know you have many questions about Maddy. Our questions are……I am very curious about her, too. Now let’s watch the flash carefully and find out the answers, OK
Step 3 While-reading 
1. 观看flash动画,让学生整体感知故事。 
老师先简单介绍Maddy,学生通过看动画视频,获得有关Maddy的知识。  
T:OK, from the flash, we know Maddy is a girl or a boy
S1: A girl.
T: Why Look here, because there is a bow-knot on her head.
2.精读课文,找出问题的答案
T: Just now, we have many questions about Maddy. But I don’t think you have known her very well after watching the flash. Now, let’s read the story again, and write your answers on your paper. Ok Now here we go.
3.验收成果
