Friends can help you get better. So do the animals. In 2019, I decided to adopt (收养) a dog from my local animal centre. After reading the adoption rules carefully and meeting with the host family, we finally took a beautiful 2-year-old girl home with us.
The dog was nice and smart! However, one day on a walk, a neighbour's (邻居的) dog crossed the street towards us and attacked (攻击) her as she walked in front of me.
