设计意图:
阅读前,通过 Free talk ,Self-introduction 学生不仅练习了口语,还复习了比较级句型,激活了其知识储备。通过观看足球赛视频短片,激发了学生学习的兴趣,同时学生了解了“goalkeeper”这个核心词以及单词“excellent”,为接下来顺利学习故事内容奠定了基础。

①创设情境:The animals also have a football match. 看图猜测:What do they need 然后 Let’s check: 观看视频,初步感知故事。设计意图:通过观察图片,学生能够猜测故事大意。通过观看视频验证猜测,学生初步感知故事,了解大意,充分培养学生的思维能力。

②出示图片,提出问题:Who wants to be the new goalkeeper 学生观察图片并回答。进一步提问:Can they be the goalkeeper
学生看图听音回答问题。
设计意图:通过看图,听音回答问题这个环节,培养学生读图获取信息的能力和能够进行有序表达的能力。
T: Who wants to be the new goalkeeper Ss look at the picture and answer together.
T: Can they be the goalkeeper Let’s look at picture2, picture3 and picture4. Listen carefully and answer the question.

③ Read and find the reasons. 仔细阅读图 2,图 3,图 4,找出具体原因。设计意图:通过仔细阅读图 2,图 3,图 4故事内容,培养学生获取具体信息的能力。通过形象生动的动作演绎让学生理解 reach,“Your neck is too long. The others can't reach you.”学生通过观看团队合作进球视频,渗透理解“Football needs teamwork.”意识到团队合作的重要性。

○4小组合作:Act out the dialogue of P2,P3 and P4.
设计意图:依据黑板板书,填空进行练习,小组合作表演故事,培养学生良好的阅读习惯和故事表演的能力,同时进一步巩固本单元功能句型和词汇。

⑤继续看图听故事 P5,P6, 回答问题,找出 Mr Hippo能成为守门员的原因
设计意图:通过看图听故事,进一步培养学生理解故事和提取关键信息的能力,加大语言信息的输入。通过层层问题的设置,进一步调动学生学习的主动性和探究性。
T:Look! Mr Hippo is coming. Can he be the goalkeeper Look at P5and P6, Listen and answer.
Ss: Yes, he can.

Ss listen ,look and find out. Try to understand the meaning of “almost” by the picture.
