1、不知道动作的执行者；
2、不必提出动作的执行者；
3、强调动作的承受者；
4、汉语中含有“被”、“由”等词时常用被动语态。

主动语态变被动语态应注意的问题：
1.双宾语被动语态
可用直接宾语或间接宾语作被动语态的主语，但是如用间接宾语作被动语态的主语时，通常要在间接宾语前加to/for。
eg. give sb sth--sb be given sth/
sth be given to sb
buy sb sth--sb be bought sth/
sth be bought for sb
口诀:间宾作主语，to/for莫忘记
1.My father bought me a computer.

使让看听：let，have，make，see，hear
变为被动时加上to
这些词在主动语态中作谓语，后接不带to的动词不定式作宾语补足语，但变被动语态时，还原不定时符号to。

三、注意动词短语的完整性

不及物动词与介词或副词构成动词短语，变被动语态介词或副词不可省略。
eg.
