Step I Class Opening (1 minutes)
1. Greeting
T: Good morning, class! How are you today
Ss: Good morning, Miss Dai ! Fine, thank you. And you
T: I’m fine, too.
2. Free Talk
T: What’s the date today
S1:It’s April 7th.
T: What day is it today
S2: It’s Monday.
T: Look out of the window. What’s the weather like today
S3: It’s sunny.

Step II Review(2 minutes)
The teacher shows some exercises on the PPT.
Students do the exercises and check the answers together.
Step III New Concepts (22 minutes)
1. Lead-in
Show the students two pictures about their beautiful school and some students’ school life.
Ask and Answer:
T: Our school life includes four aspects. They are school buildings, people, subjects and activities. Can you say something about these aspects
(The teacher presents the pictures to help students to answer the question.)
S1: Teaching Building, Office, Washroom, library
S2: Our English teacher is Miss Dai.
S3: We have math, English, Chinese, music, art and so on.
S4: We play basketball after class.
T: What do you usually do after class
S1: I usually play football with my classmates.
S2: I usually go to the library to read some books.
S3: I usually go to the school yard to take a walk.
S4: I usually have a talk with my friend.

2. Listening
T: Play the audiotape for Lesson 13 (How Is School Life Going ) Play it once and ask the students just to listen.
T: Play the audiotape a second time and ask the students to answer two questions.
T: Check the answers as a class.
3. Read and answer
Ss: Read the text twice and answer five questions.
T: Check the answers as a class.
4. Pair Work
Ss: They use their completed timetable to make up a dialogue following the example in the student book.
5. Language points
T: How is … going 意思是“……怎么样?”用来询问对方最近学习、工作、生活等状况。Then let the students translate two sentences.
S1: How is your business going
S2: How is your job going
T: usually, always和often叫做频度副词。是用来表示动作频率的,但程度上有区别。以上三个频度副词按频率大小排列如下:always > usually > often. Then let the students translate three sentences.
S1: I usually help my mother.
S2: He is always ready to help others.
S3: It often rains here in April.

T: Ask the students to write a composition. Show one student’s work. Then give them an example to ask them to recite it.
