名词所有格用以表示名词之间的所有关系。主要有of和’s(')两种表示方式。
1.用of所有格构成短语可以表示所有名词之间的所有关系。表示多数无生命的事物的名词之间使用of进行连接。
例：the window of the house 房子上的窗户
2.表示有生命的事物的名词及某些表示时间、距离、星球、世界、国家等无生命的东西的名词后加 ’s来表示所有关系。但如果该名词是以-s或-es结尾，则只在该名词后加 ’ 来构成所有格。
例： my father's car 我父亲的车；Bob’sfather 鲍勃的的爸爸
例：20 minutes' walk 20分钟的步行路程
