学习内容: section A 1a—2d
学习目标:
1、掌握下列单词
manatee,furry,enormous,playful,aggressive,gray,spotted,kangaroo,chimpanzee,cheetah,intelligent,feed,weigh,discover,pound
2、掌握句型
(1) We are trying to save the manatees
(2) Manatees eat about 100pounds of food a day
(3) There used to be a lot of manatees
(4) In 1972,it was discovered that they were endangered
(5)Some of the swamps have become polluted

学习重点:
复习几种不同的时态,现在进行时态,一般现在时态,use to do句型,被动语态,现在完成时态。

教学过程:
1、创设情境,激情导入。
出示一组动物的图片;
----Do you know this animal ? What’s its name ?
----Yes it’s a manatee.
----Can you describe a manatee?
----Yes I can.
A manatee is gentle and big.

Task 1:看课本上的图片,学和生跟读1a 中的单词,完成1a中的任务。
Task 2:听录音,完成1b。
3、小组合作,聚焦主题。
Task 1a:同桌间对话:
Eg A:I am like this animal because I am strong and intelligent. I like water,and I like to eat vegetables,
B: You’re like an elephant.
A: NO.
B: You’re like a manatee.
A: Yes!
4、汇报展示,点拨升华。
Task 1:小组大比拼。同桌两人为一小组,进行文中的对话比赛,评出优胜者。

Task 1:听录音,完成2a、2b。
Task 2:理解听力材料中的句子,能区分每一种句子的时态,并掌握重点句型。

2.掌握句型:
I was very surprised to find hardly anyone there.
If we don't support our zoos,they wont have enough money to take care of so many fine animals.
I disagree with you.I feel that zoos provide clean and safe places for endangered animals to live.

一.创设情境 激情投入
利用幻灯片展示一些动物,如:African elephants,chimpanzees,kangaroos,
Manatees,polar bears,tigers and so on.
Then ask the students to answer the following questions:
1.Have you ever seen these animals ?
2.Where did you see them?
3.Do you think zoos are suitable places for animals to live in?
4.Do you think zoos are good or bad for animals ?And let the students say the reason why they think so.
