教学目标：
1、学生能够听、说、读、写单词 younger, older, taller, shorter, longer.
2、能够正确运用上述单词描述人物的外貌特点。
3、能 够 听 懂 问 句 ：
How tall are you ？
I ’ m 1.61meters.
能 够 使 用 句 型 ：
I ’ m taller. You’re taller than me.
4、能够运用新学的内容完成 Do a survey and report”任务。
教学重难点：
1、能听、说、认读单词 younger, older, taller, shorter, longer. 并准确发音。
2、能读准 than 并能运用比较级的句型。教学准备：多媒体课件
教学过程：
一、Warm-up
1、Greeting: Hello, boys and girls. Welcome back to our school again. This team we will have English class e on! Go! Go! Go!
2、Let’s do师生一起做动作有节奏的吟唱。
Tall tall tall make yourself tall.
Short short short make yourself short.
Big big big make your eyes big.
Small small small make your eyes small.
Long long long make your arms long .
Short short short make your arms short.
二、Presentation
1、教学句型：How tall are you I’m...meters.课件出示身高贴图片 T:I’m 1.63 meters.（板书）教读单词 point, meters.
出示姚明、潘长江图片，
T: Who are they
Ss:姚明、潘长江。
T:Yao Ming is tall. Pan Changjiang is short.( 学生随说）
T: Do you want to know how tall is Yao Ming
Let’s ask, OK
Ss: OK. How tall are you ,Yao Ming （板书、教读）
教师回答：I’m 2.26 meters.
请学生读。It’s so tall. What about Pan Changjiang Let’s ask, OK 请一名学生问后全班一起问。找同学扮演回答：I’m 1.60 meters.
2、作比较引出新词 taller 和 shorter.课 件 呈 现 句 子 ：
I ’ m 1.63 meters. Yao Ming is 2.26 meters.
学 生 说 Yao Ming is tall.
T: Yeah, he is taller than me.顺势板书单词 taller .教读，注意 er 发音。继续呈现句子：I’m 1.63 meters. Pan Changjiang is 1.60 meters.
Ss: Pan Changjiang is short.
T:He is shorter than me.板书教读单词 shorter.师生对话：
T:I’m 1.63 meters. How tall are you
Ss:...
T: I’m...than you. 学生组内讨论编制对话。
3、教学单词 younger 和 older观看视频，猜单词。Please find out the words containing “er”.学生说单词：younger, older, taller, shorter, longer. 和 younger。板书并教读新词。呈现图片帮助学生理解词义。The girl 和 the baby 比较练习 young 和 younger. Mr. Li 和 Mr. Wang 比较练习 old 和 older。转入教师和学生问句练习 older younger.
T: I’m older than all of you.活动：Do a survey and report.
4、教学单词 longer 和 shorter.图片呈现长短尺子引出新词，教读板书。请同学作比较说句子。图片对比头发长短，兔子与猴子尾巴长短练习单词。
5、回归文本，听录音。
6、总结：比较级的规则和体貌描写方式。
7、做题反馈。
8、扩展：Everyone has a little dream.
课件呈现图片：思考中的学生，想吃树叶的山羊，扛麻包的工人......
学生思考：What do you want to become
I want to become....

Do a survey for your family’s age and height, then write a report. (调查家庭成员的年龄和身高并写个报告）
