Unit 3 Sea Exploration Grammar: Revise the Infinitive 教学目标 1.To learn about the basic usage of the Infinitive 2.To learn to work out some confusing points in the Infinitive 3.To learn to identify and analyse the Infinitive in exams. 4.To learn to use the Infinitive in writing. 2. 教学重难点 1.Students can grasp the usage of the infinitive.
2.Students can use the infinitive rightly in the exercises. 三、教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1.Some basic knowledge of nonfinite verbs and predicate verbs. 定义:不能充当谓语的动词,但可以在句子中充当其他句子成分(主/宾/表/定/状/宾补) 类型: ⑴ 不定式 : to+V原 ⑵ 动名词: V-ing ⑶ 现在分词:V-ing ⑷ 过去分词 :V-ed 谓语动词 在句子中担任谓语的动词 非谓语动词 是动词的特殊形式,在句中可以作除谓语外的所有成分 判别谓语动词及非谓语动词的方法 She got off the bus, leaving her handbag on her seat. She got off the bus, but left her handbag on her seat. 由此可见,连词在决定句子结构以及谓语动词和非谓语 动词的使用中起着关键的作用。 非谓语动词使用条件 个句子当中,已经存在一个主句(谓语动词),又没有 连词的情况下, 还有别的动词出现时。 Some basic knowledge of the Infinitive. 动词不定时的形式 肯定式:to do sth 否认式:not to do sth. 被动式:to be done 完成式:to have done 动词不定式的句法作用法 动词不定式有副词,形容词和名词的特征,因此在句中可作主语、宾语、宾语补足语、表语定语、状语等成份。 Step 2 the Usage of the Infinitive. 不定式时态的用法 不定式的动作与谓语动词同时发生时,或之后发生 用一般时态 1) He wanted ___________ (see) you. 2) I hope ___________(see) you again. 2. 强调不定式的动作正在进行时,用进行时态 When I came in, he pretended___________ (read) a book. 3. 强调不定式的动作在谓语动词之前发生时,用不定式完成时 He is said ________ (write) a novel last year. 4. 强调动作从过去某时开始,一直延续到现在,并可能持续下去时,用完成进行式 She is said ___________ (work) on the problem for many years. 不定式被动语态的用法 当不定式的逻辑主语是不定式的承受者时,用被动语态 It is an honor for me to be asked to speak here . She asked ______________ (send) to work in Tibet . The book is said _________________ (translate) into English. Step 3 不定时的句法功能 不定式做主语时,可以直接放在谓语动词之前 Not to get there in time is your fault. 注:常用it做形式主语,将to do放在位于之后,使句子保持平衡。 句型1:It + 谓语 + to do 句型2:It’s + n. + to do 句型3:It is adj. for/of sb. to do sth 作表语时 主语 + be + to do sth 主语多为 duty / wish / hope / idea / plan / ambition/ dream / work / job 等 名词 My ambition is to be a singer. 作宾语时 动词+ to do sth. 动词+疑问词+to do 主语+谓语+it+ adj./n. +to do he teacher is coming, let’s stop _________ (talk). She tried _________ (read), but couldn’t make her forget her trouble. He forgot even ________ (write) to me, so he wrote another one. I remember _______ (bring) the book to you last week. I regret ________ (tell) that we can’t take your advice. 作宾语补足语 作宾补-对宾语进行补充说明 动词 + 宾语(sb./sth.) + to do sth. I saw someone come in. I saw someone coming in. 动词+宾语+不带to的不定式 作定语 不定式做定语时一般修饰将要去做的事 I worked so late in the office last night that I hardly had time to catch the last bus. 名词是抽象名词名词前有only,last,next,序数词(first, second,..)或形容词最高级形容时 She is the last to leave the room. 不定式为不及物动词时,须加介词 He is looking for a room _________(live). 作状语 ① 原因状语: 主语 + be + adj.(表情感) + to do sth. (happy/ glad angry / sorry / sad /afraid ②目的状语 The soldier ran into the room to save the girl. ③ 结果状语 too + adj./adv. +to do sth.adj./adv. enough to do sth. Step 4 Exercise 1. Robert is said ______________ (study) abroad, but I don’t know what country he studied in. 2. The purpose of new technologies is to make life easier and_____________ (make) it more difficult. 3. I’ve worked with children before, so I know what ___________ (expect) in my new job. 4. Having a trip abroad is certainly good for the old couple, but it remains ___________ (see) whether they will enjoy it. 5. It is said in Australia there is more land than the government knows ________________. (what, do with) 6. The mother didn’t know who _________ (blame) for the broken glass as it happened while she was out. 7. Paul doesn’t have to be made ________ (learn). He always works hard. 8.
