He was a former world record holder for the 100 meters , with a time of 9.79 seconds. Marion Jones is an American former world champion track and field athlete. She won five medals at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, but has lost all medals and prizes after admitting that she took performance-enhancing drugs. She announced her retirement from track and field on October 5, 2007.Floyd Landis on the Tour de France, July 23 2006. Floyd Landis is an American cyclist, from California. He is an all-around rider, with special skills in climbing and time-trialing. He won the 2006 Tour de France In 2006. He was stripped of his Tour de France victory and fired from the Phonak team after a drug-control test . He has received a two-year ban for doping. Florence Griffith was an American track and field athlete. She was born in Los Angeles During the late 1980s she became a popular figure in international track and field due to her record-setting performances and flashy personal style. She holds the world records in the 100 m and 200 m races. “Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders... they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.”
