设计思路
本节课是阅读课。课文介绍的是唐装。按照课标要求和英语核心素养的培养目标,结合中学生的认知特点,联系生活实际,主要采取情景教学法和任务型教学法。在阅读教学的三步骤中,运用skimming,scanning等阅读技能理解文本表层意义。在任务设计中,充分关注了对学生的学习策略、思维品质和文化品格的培养。将课文内容与学生自身已有的知识和学生自身的生活经验建立联系,要求了解中国传统民族服装唐装特点并能用所学知识谈论,加深对中国传统服装文化的了解,注重对学生阅读能力的培养。
教学背景
1.教学内容分析: 本节课选自仁爱版八年级下Unit8 Topic3 Section C。本话题谈论的是唐装以及部分少数民族服装。功能是表达学生对服装的喜好以及关于服装文化的表达,加深对中国文化理解。
2.学生情况分析:初二年级学生有了一定的语言学习积累,具备相应的语言表达能力。因此,教师在教授过程中会弱化对单词、短语及语法机械繁琐的讲解,着重让学生理解并讨论。
教学目标
1.语言知识目标:通过本节课的学习,学生能够:
(1)学习并掌握新词汇 decoration, knot, attractive, dynasty, get one’s name, be known to 等
(2)学习并列连词(not only...but also, both...and...,either...or...)的用法。
2. 学习策略目标:通过本节课的学习,学生能够:
(1)通过小组合作,培养团队合作精神;
(2)能够根据短文大意完成思维导图;
(3)通过创设情境,音乐欣赏等方式,激活思维;
3. 文化意识及情感态度培养目标:通过本节课的学习,学生能够: 增加对中国服装文化的了解,并对中国伟大的服装文化感到骄傲

1. 教学重点:
(1)了解唐装的发展历程、文化内涵和鲜明特色。
(2) 学习并列连词。
2. 教学难点
(1)看懂并完成思维导图。
(2)并列连词的正确运用。
教学过程设计
Step 1: lead in and warm up
1. Show pictures of some minority costumes and let the Ss say their names.
2. Lead into the new lesson.
3. Look at the pictures and match them with the correct Chinese minorities.
T: Let’s see more costumes. (完成2A部分business suit, sportswear, zhongshan costume)并导入生词 western-style
T:完成2B部分,复习并导入新单词。(此处又一次提及中国的民族服装文化)
Step 2 Pre- reading
1. Show a picture of a family in Tang Costumes. Let the Ss have a free talk about their reviews to them.
1) How do they look like
2) What do you think of their clothes
2. Show pictures of the Tang Costume and teach the new words.
3. Ask the Ss to have a free talk about what they know about the Tang Costume. Then lead them to focus on the following questions.
1) What does it stand for
2) Where is it from
3) When did it get its name
4) Why is it popular
5) How is it attractive and different
Step 3 While -reading Tasks:
1. Read 1a quickly and answer the questions above.
2. Read quickly and match the main idea of each paragraph
3. Read carefully and finish the mind-map, then let the Ss try to retell the passage according to the diagram.

2. Activity: Choose your favourite costume for your class fashion show! (给出一些useful words进行提示)
Group work: 5人一组, 一人负责采访者及作报告,一人作为记录员,另外3 人为被采访者。 调查他们所选择的服装以及对相应服装的了解和选择该服装的理由。 选择几组进行展示并评价。
设计意图:
活动的设计一方面贴合学生的生活又切合本单元的话题,在活动中让学生学会分工与合作,并学会倾听;另一方面活动设计的意图是让学生用所学的语言知识进行表述,检测学生掌握情况。
