教学目标及要求
能听懂、会说并能书写句型:“How heavy are you? I’m 48kg.I’m thinner than you, and shorter.”并能在情境中运用。
能够完成Pair work中的调查任务。
能够完成Let’s try中听音选图片并填充句子的练习。
教学重难点分析
本课时的教学重点是能询问、回答有关体重、身高、脚的大小尺寸、头发的长度等问题并能书写相关句型。
本课时的教学难点是四会掌握句型以及单位词,如cm, kg的理解和使用。
课前准备
录音机,录音带,单词卡片,课件。
调查表格若干张。
教学步骤
热身(Warm up):
师生问候:
T: Good morning, boys and girls! In this class, we are going to learn Unit 1,Part B .First, Let’s watch a short interesting cartoon together. There are some lovely animals in the cartoon, they have different wishes. What are their wishes? Let’s go and have a look. Please read the words in the cartoon loudly when necessary. OK?
Ss: OK!
(播放卡通片,学生边看边复习学过的几个形容词的比较级形式。)
预习(Preview)
Next, let’s read the words in the cartoon again. Please make a sentence after me .
出示单词卡片,如:出示taller,教师说:Taller, taller, I’m taller than you! 学生马上使用该词反义词说:Shorter, shorter, I’m shorter than you! 如果出示的是单词shorter,老师就说:Shorter, shorter, you are shorter than me! 学生马上用该词反义词说: Taller, taller, you are taller than me! 可以组成一个小chant:
T: Taller, taller, I’m taller than you!
S: ( Shorter, shorter, I’m shorter than you!)
T: Older, older, I’m older than you!
S: ( Younger, younger, I’m younger than you!)
T: Heavier, heavier, I’m heavier than you!
S: (Thinner, thinner, I’m thinner than you!)
T: Longer, longer, my arms are longer than you!
S: ( Shorter, shorter, my arms are shorter than you!)
T; Bigger, bigger, my feet are bigger than yours!
S: (Smaller, smaller, my feet are smaller than yours!) 或者:
T: Shorter, shorter, you are shorter than me!
S:( Taller, taller, you are taller than me!)
T: Younger, younger, you are younger than me!
S:( Older, older, you are older than me!)
T: Thinner, thinner, you are thinner than me!
S: (Heavier, heavier, you are heavier than me!)
T: Shorter, shorter, your arms are shorter than mine!
S: (Longer, longer, your arms are longer than mine!)
T: Smaller, smaller, your feet are smaller than mine!
S: (Bigger, bigger, your feet are bigger than mine!)
新课呈现(Presentation)
You are all very good. Now I have a picture for you. Please guess : Who is she ?
呈现老师的照片,学生齐答后说:Yes. It’s me. I’m a litter heavier than before. How heavy am I? Please guess.请学生猜自己的体重,提醒学生使用句型Are you …kg?然后与猜中自己体重(62kg)的学生对话:T: How heavy are you? S: I’m …kg. T: You are thinner than me, and shorter. (I’m heavier than you, and taller)
板书四会句型,然后领读让学生跟读该句型。
(2)和学生谈论腿长。
T: My legs are 100 cm long. How long are your legs? 挑不同的学生回答该问题后总结:My legs are longer than your legs. You can say: My legs are longer than yours, too.
板书该句型,然后让学生跟读该句型。
(3)和同学谈论鞋子。
T: I wear size 39. 领读该句型后问学生1:How big are your feet? 学生回答后总结:M y feet are bigger than your feet. You can say: My feet are bigger than yours, too .再挑一名个子较大的男生问该句型后,总结:My feet are smaller than yours.
板书该句型,然后让学生跟读该句型。
Now I have another picture for you. Who is she? Can you guess?
(4)课件呈现史晨阳同学的照片,学生齐答后说:Good! Do you want to know her personal information? Let’s ask her together, OK? 提示学生使用重点句型依次向她发问,史晨阳一一作答,同时将答案呈现出来。
(5)课件呈现老师和史晨阳的照片,老师拿自己和该生比较,提示该生使用反义词和老师作比较。
(6)课件呈现本课重点句型,让学生两人一组做口头练习。
(7)Let’s try
给学生讲解How long 还可以问物体的长度,How heavy 还可以问物体的重量。可拿学生的文具如尺子、书包做例子。渗透句型How long is your pen/pencil/ruler? How heavy is your bag?
课件展示该部分内容,学生先看图片用英语表达图片中的物品,再播放录音,学生完成听音填词、圈物品的练习。
(8)Let’s talk
Now let’s go on listening to another dialogue. Please take out a pen and a piece of paper. Write down the missing words. OK?
课件展示该部分内容,将对话中有关数词和比较级的形容词空出,先播放一到两遍录音,让学生先做一个听力练习:听录音,补全对话。挑学生说答案,大家一起纠错。
跟录音读对话。
分角色朗读对话。
(9)Pair work
和同桌一起讨论身高、年龄、体重、头发长度、腿长、脚的大小,使用本单元重点句型How tall/old/heavy/long/big/….?一问一答来填写表格。表格内容如下:

(10) Make a report
挑学生就表格内容做一个报告,将自己和朋友作比较。例如:
This is my friend. I’m taller/shorter than him/her. He/She has long/short hair, he/she is older/shorter than me. He/She is thinner/heavier than me. His/Her legs are longer/shorter than mine, his feet are bigger/smaller than mine.
(11)T: I have some pictures of students in our class. Please look at the pictures .Can you make a sentence? Just try! 依次出示学生李林杰和王大伟、毛东方和龚仟阳、彭星兹和闫黔华的合影照片,学生就照片比较两人的外貌特征,一人说出一个句子,不得雷同。启动竞赛机制,男女生竞赛,谁抢答正确一次奖励一张小贴画。
(12)巩固和延伸(Consolidation and extension)
课件展示周杰伦和成龙的照片及资料,让学生看资料尝试用英语介绍这些明星。然后将两人的年龄,身高,体重,脚的大小作比较。继续竞赛,决出优胜方,给予奖励
4.家庭作业(homework)
1:书写四会句型,熟读Let’s talk,能使用所学内容和人对话.
2:上网搜集你喜欢的明星资料,制作“我最喜欢 的明星资料卡”,并能用英语向别人介绍。
