Usually there is a “helping hands” meeting at the weekend. People go there when they need help with their puter engineers are popular. They help people check their computers. You can also find someone to fix things like broken bicycles.
Students can get help with their homework. There are some college students among the volunteers, and they are always ready to help. Volunteers also help the old people.
We are lucky to live in a neighbourhood like that. People here are like a big family.

My Community
Hello, everyone. Welcome to Sunshine Garden Community. I’m glad to show you around my community.
There are twenty buildings in my community. Each of them has fifteen floors. There is a supermarket, a school and a hospital around it. There is a community centre here, too. People often go there and share their different skills. They also like to chat with each other. The volunteers are very helpful. They often visit the old people and do some shopping or cleaning for them.
I am lucky to live in a neighbourhood like that. People here are like a big family.

My name is Li Hua. I live in City Garden. It's big and modern. There are lots of trees and beautiful flowers in the neighbourhood, so the air is fresh. We have a big garden, a swimming pool and a big playground. We can have a good time playing there.
All my neighbours are nice and helpful. Some of them are volunteers with different skills. If we have any problems, they will help us. They often help old people do some shopping and clean their houses. If children have problems with their lessons, they will give them a helping hand. I often pick up the rubbish in the community.
